Take a Ski Vacation {AOL Hot Searches}

Nov 15th 2007 9:48AM Ski Liberty??? You poor thing! I am in the process of moving back East to MD. Lucky for me, my knees can no longer tolerate skiing! After falling in love with the sport and skiing the garbage hills along the east years ago, My brother and I trekked to Colorado. Never skiied in the East again. A completely different experience. Even for a beginner, maybe ESPECIALLY for a beginner because it's S N O W ... not ice and grass and rocks! No comparison!

Detoxing: Unnecessary? {That's Fit}

Oct 2nd 2007 12:19AM I myself currently started a detox diet after my health went into the crapper at the hands of my doctor. Yes, I am equally at fault, I had the choice to be on 10 different medications clouding my mind and polluting my body - but in today's world, it's so much easier to pop a pill for whatever ails you instead of making a lifestyle change. Soon thereafter, you're taking another pill for the side effects of the first and so on. Then they don't work as effectively as they once did, and you find yourself taking more and more until they don't work anymore. When you DO finally decide "enough is enough" you go through hell because you're body has become physically dependant. I must believe it's got a lot to do with money. Why would a doctor or the pharmacutical companies want you to get better? If you are well, they aren't making money.

It's also far easier to reach for a quick meal or snack that's sitting in your pantry, laden with all kinds of ingredients that the human body simply wasn't made to digest. This country is all about convenience... most likely at the expense of our health.

When I do a thorough cleanse, I feel better than ever. No, I don't adhere to it as a constant way of life. I fall back into the good ol' American way. Yes, the human body is a miraculous machine and capable of cleansing itself. When it was designed, I doubt all of the toxins surrounding us in todays world were taken into account! We are way overloaded with pollutants, and it's a good idea to give it a hand sometimes. If you "fast" with whole, fresh juices and raw fruits and vegatables, you are not only cleansing, but FLOODING your body with the nutrients it has been deprived of. A good juicer will give you bushels of fruits and vegetables you couldn't possibly eat in a week.

Don't knock it til you try it! It can't hurt. It is true you will feel worse before better, but that's your body's way of letting you know just how poorly you had been treating it!

Alicia Silverstone Bares All in PETA Ad {AOL Video Blog}

Sep 21st 2007 3:19PM I like animals, I have a dog. I like to eat meat, too. It tastes good. I grew up in a family of hunters, and attempted it a time or two as well... just not for me. But if hunters didn't go out and kill off some of the population, they would die a much slower, painful death. They would also eat the small crops where families and producers grow the precious fruit and veggies, ya know... the natural and "organic" type they require. Maybe they should stop hunting for one year, and let PETA go out and do damage control.

As far as the add, it has nothing to do with the ethical treatment of anything, except for a gratuitous shot of ass. Yes, I have eaten an all natural diet (incorporating some all natural meat... the best being the kind you go and get yourself knowing it's been eating in the wild) and agree completely! It DOES make you feel better than a diet of all the processed crap 99% of Americans shove in their face. But, to each his own. Micheal Vick... BAD, hunters and meat eaters, OK.
