Nov 18th 2010 10:04PM 1: We lose well written and finely acted shows.
2: We get force fed hi-def TV, and in turn must spend money we do not have buying peripherals to watch the local news through machines we didn't need for all these years.
3: "Medium", "Ghost Whisperer", numerous programs get canceled.
4: 300 channels of "reality" that isn't. Please.
5: Intelligent program watchers are not only viewing PBS.
6: What is left is dreck. And we are drowning in it.
And why are the writers for "Medium" so glad they will not have this job much longer?
Working people don't want to, and the unemployed can't.
Charity begins at home.
Nov 10th 2009 3:15PM I think Wal-Mart should stop all people who are "being loud and making a scene" and toss them out. In fact, screen them before they enter. Maybe the elderly and more quiet types could shop without feeling like they are on "The Jerry Springer Show" or some other circus. Please, people, act like people and not a sideshow freak.
Oct 13th 2009 8:21PM Give us our Tinker Bell back. The 1953 version most of us grew up with is the ONLY visage we want. I speak for an all female family of 16.
Tinker Bell is a pixie. Not Katherine Hepburn.
Jul 8th 2009 2:18PM Yet another reason for uniforms.
Jun 6th 2009 4:16PM Thanks Max.
Jun 5th 2009 4:36PM There is only one reason to shop at Sears: Craftsman tools. Craftsman has a lifetime warranty and will replace any tool if it breaks. No questions. Some people shop garage sales looking for used Craftsman tools, then have them repaced at no charge.
Jun 10th 2008 3:18PM Stop buying "Made In China". Keep jobs here, buy American!
May 24th 2008 4:47PM This sounds like a variation of "Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome": where a parent or caregiver is the cause of a child's sickness or distress by intentional means. And then "comes to the rescue", (usually by seeking medical professionals and/or hospitalization) becoming the center of attention in a roundabout manner. Because the parent or caregiver appears to be so caring and attentive, often no one suspects any wrongdoing. Other theories say that Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome is a cry for help on the part of the parent or caregiver, who may be experiencing anxiety or depression or have feelings of inadequacy. In any case, this girl urgently needs professional help before she eventually harms or kills someone.
