Jan 25th 2010 3:40PM What a bunch of morons--Welfare = $248 Cash--you complain about people on AFDC (Food Stamps) but you never say a word about that mega-corporation that takes food stamps (Wal Mart, Albertsons, or you neighborhood Grocery Store). You complain about a parent accepting WIC--but you never complain about the dairy farmer, poultry farmer, grain producers, supermarkets that benefit from these programs. You look to the poor--those qualified to receive benefits because they live in poverty as if someone can choose to be middle class.
These are the same people that will hit another message board claiming to be Christians--or true Americans but you reject the Tenet inscribed on the base of the Statute of Liberty--our message to those seeking to live in the Free World. How selfish...you despise Mexican Immigrants but you aren't Native American your damn self--what hypocrites!
Regardless of how much money was spent for a Bail Out or a Hand Out--that deficit can be overcome. What will destroy our nation are the ignorant, negative, and pessimistic attitudes of the increasing majority of people in this country. You complain so much and are ready to attack anything establish that you have no time to cheer for the good this nation produces.
I have read everything on this board from SMOG to Welfare to Obama care--So sad that we have more people willing to destroy the fabric of this great nation opposed to raising Her up. For those of you that think some type of Revolution is in order--how foolishly you forget--we had one of those in 1861--NO ONE WON!
I arrived in Iraq under President Bush and served him faithfully---I returned to Iraq under President Obama and will do likewise. Patriots support their government--treasonous pigs try to convince others to rebel against the very structure that the rest of the world wishes they had. The only thing BROKE in Politics in the UNITED STATES is the Electorate--your Government has the mentality of the people it serves.

It didn't say she couldn't pay her mortgage. This is an attempt to collect a debt of less than $70,000. When you deal with vast sums of money, there are methods you use to leverage tax liabilities and decrease exposure. What she did here was actually a double dip. Take out a home line of credit/equity loan to pay real estate taxes. Charge the real estate taxes to your Federal Income Tax. Charge the loan to your Federal and State income Tax as home improvement. And you have your property tax covered twice but it looks like it's covered once. She just forgot to pay the loan company back.

Barbara Bush raised to Governors and ultimately a two term president. Hillary Clinton as first lady didn't even screw the president...

This would have probably been the most pointed rebuttal on this board if you knew your state abbreviations. It was painful to read you continuously refer to ARkansas as AlasKa. I know, I know...a minor slip-an honest mistake...but in invalidates a seriously pointed argument. I live in Texarkana TX/AR but I am a transplant from Los Angeles. I am African American, Democrat, Liberal w/a Gun, and and a meat eater. (Sorry Tree Huggers--you annoyed me in California too.)
What I find odd is that NO ONE has noticed one thing about the last 4 Presidential Races: Clinton, Clinton II, Perot, and Now Huckabee are all from Texarkana. Let's be real--it aint shit in Hope, Arkansas today which means it was less shit in Hope, Arkansas then. Huckabee is so likeable to the US because he is a Conservative Democrat. There is something more going on in this little neck of the woods than the media is really paying attention to. 10 of the Forbes 100 have origins in Texarkana. Bet you never heard of this little place huh?
And you bloggers are supposed to be cutting edge, ahead of the curve, and gutsy. If you take that angle and follow the money--I am sure you will find more than dumb ass story about $161K in soft money to the Governor who stayed in a triple wide four years of his eight year term. (Wonder why there are 20,000 trailers parked in Hope, Arkansas at the Airport for Hurricane Katrina Evacuees--and another 30,000 parked at Lone Star Ammunition Plant and Red River Army Depot for the same purpose). Ahh...just coincidence and more bad government planning huh?
