May 19th 2011 12:17AM So it's perfectly alright for Hollywood to impose the mores that they choose with regards to whom they hire and what they produce, yet Heaton is punished for expressing her views?
No where did they say she is ramming it down anyone's throat; just that it is her guideline as to what work she chooses.
Hollywood and cable have been doing little outside of special effects fests, noir films full of unwarranted violence, and injecting soft porn and non-heterosexual relations into movies for years now.

May 12th 2011 11:29AM Public places are just that--public. If someone is taking scenic shots, leave them alone. However, if someone is taking pictures at a children's event without a participating child or valid reason (reporter, etc.), that should be grounds for trespass, and other charges.

May 3rd 2011 11:37PM With regards to fire codes: who is to say that there isn't two ways out? My neighbor has a similar bedroom in their basement--it was my friend's bedroom when he was a teen--and besides a basment egress, there is also a stairway to the first floor. In addition, there are windows in other parts of the basement you could crawl out of--like over the washing machine. None of these windows or doors would show in the three-wall shots that were taken here.
A good point to be made, but one jumped too by incomplete data.

Apr 23rd 2011 12:45PM Unless McDonalds is in a vacuum, they have to pay for higher price fuel and energy and the price of beef went up because of all the corn going to ethanol. Just got done shopping. Remember when $50 would fill the cart? Now you can put that much in groceries in the hand basket we're going to Hell In and still have room to climb aboard. That is the price of devalued money. Yes we're becoming Green--Soylent Green.
