Shiloh Jolie-Pitt in Boys' Swim Trunks - Healthy or Harmful? {Stylelist (Main)}
Aug 10th 2010 3:53AM I think that Shiloh is adorable! Who cares what she's wearing? Are her clothing choices supposed to be an indicator of something? Myself and my children (2 boys-ages 18 and 11 & 2 girls-ages 19 and 13), dress the way that makes us comfortable. Neither of my girls like pink and neither of my sons are afraid to wear it. I've worn ties with skirts, heels with jeans, etc. Let people cast their own mold. I appreciate that a famous mom/dad are not pressured into a specific style because tradition says that's the way it's supposed to be. Who among us has not passed things from child to child? Let Shiloh, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Vivenne and Knox make their style choices-despite the fact that Angelina and Brad are "celebrities". They choose their own style of dress (or maybe not, that's what stylists are for...but, they get paid good money to dress in a certain way or fashion). It wouldn't be in the news if any of our children choose to dress or not dress in a certain way.

Niecy Nash's Time Ends on 'Dancing With the Stars' - But You Could Win Her Glam Rock Watch! {Stylelist (Main)}
May 12th 2010 6:44PM Chad will be the next to go. He has a gorgeous smile and a lovely body, he's trying hard, it's just not there. Erin is a close second, it's difficult to choose between them, however, I do think that Chad will be the next one to be eliminated.

Her Husband's Last Name: Does a Woman's Identity Change, Too? {Politics Daily}
Apr 26th 2010 4:55PM My last name is hyphenated, only because I am divorced and re-married. I wanted to have ALL of my children to feel an identity with me. Yes, I also asked my husband AND my ex-husband if this was ok with both of them. They both said yes. If either of them or the children felt it was not ok or awkward, I'm not sure what I would have done. I don't think I would have reverted to my maiden name. Honestly, my biggest worry was that my son from my previous marriage would feel "left out". My ex's new wife also has a hypenated last name, oddly, it doen't include her son's last name, which he has said makes him feel weird. But, then she's been married 3 times. It's not about the money for me, nor was it ever. When I was married the 1st time, I took my ex's last name.

Luxury Gifts Ideas & Cheap Alternatives {Shopping Articles Blog}
Feb 2nd 2010 9:12PM My hubby reminded me that we'd best have cupcakes there for when I'm craving the sweet stuff. AND kudos to Jana---nothing looks better on than nothing except a little sparkle---the diamond earrings would be perfect for that, I agree with her.

The Economy Dooms One of Long Island's Oldest Yacht Clubs {Luxist}
Feb 16th 2009 1:52AM It's the people that serve those at the yacht club that are losing out, just as those that are members. Whether it's "family" money, "new" money or what have you, it's what keeps the rest of us paid to provide for our families. The members lose out because of sentimentality & a place where they could go to "hobnob" with those that had or made like money. Sailing isn't my thing but, I know it's not cheap to purchase one. Christensen Yachts here in WA are known for their high quality sailing vessels & yachts. SO, this does not only effect one aspect of people, it will effect many. Things economically need a change nationally. As far as the environment one person mentioned, that also needs a change nationally. America was/is built on dreams...if one dreams of owning a yacht & belonging to a yacht club, especially one long established, this is an institution that will most likely be missed. I don't know the income of those that belong to the yacht club but, certainly one of them has 4-8 million or access to that amount. Even with the recession the property & owning a long standing institution would seem like a good investment. But, then that's probably why I'm not in the market for property of that value. Just a thought....
