Family Suing Ritz-Carlton Claiming Daughter Molested by Drunken Guest {AOL Travel News}
Mar 27th 2011 1:12PM Debbie.... If you had read the first line of my post; it's clear that I "read" and understood there was more than one minor left in a hotel room without a parent and without an adjoining door.
The parents were self centered and neglectful to allow 3 minors to be "alone" in a hotel room - alone as in - without an ADULT!

Mar 27th 2011 12:01PM What kind of parent leaves a 9 year old and other kids in a hotel room without an adult present and and without an open adjoining room door?????
The parents didn't have to sleep in one room and the kids in another!
That was clearly a choice and decision made by the parents.
If there was not an adjoinging room available the parents should have split up ...One in each hotel room with the children.
This would not have occured if the parents were properly supervising their minors!
Colleges Tell Parents to Shove Off - Politely {ParentDish}
Sep 22nd 2010 5:45PM Eva,
You are so right in your post.
The parents are paying 40k a year plus a lot of other expenses.
Some college kids are too imature and irresponsible. Parents MUST be involved in the childs college education for many valid reasons. Keeping your kid on track and costs to a minimum are essential for the paying parents. Why? Failing classes does what?
Aside from setting the student back another semester; it costs the parent to pay for another class and extended time in college that wasn't in the graduation plans. The college benefits financially when classes are failed by students! How dare colleges tell parents to bugger off. Plain and simple it happens because it is a huge chunk of income for the college coffers. Keep your child on track and passing classes for their own benefit. Making a graduate plan and following it to completion is difficult for young adults in many ways.
Social, emotional, educational, goal reaching, time management and the inevitable becoming drining age are often too much for a student to handle on thier own without direct parental support and guidance. That said, there will always be the exceptions. Not all students need the hovering parent present and are fully capable of hitting the college years, ticking off classes, managing social growth & development, setting and reaching goals, learning financial management, employment and being successfully productive person. But if you think about it; those kids are usually high achievers and many happen to already be entering college at a younger than their college peers. What goes along with those young kids who enter college early? A helicopter parent who keeps them on track!
Parents stand your ground and do what you know is right for you and your child.
Facebook F-Bomb Nixes Student's Graduation Plans {ParentDish}
Jun 14th 2010 2:07PM People who find themselves in trouble over FB remarks are usually under some type of "code of conduct" or "expecterd behavior" clause from signing forms either at work or in enrolling in a school.
Teachers are held accountable for actions done outside of the school and so are students!
Freedom of Speech doesn't apply when you've signed away that right and agreed to behave in a way that is acceptable to the employer or campus.
Of course common sense plays a large part as well.
What idiot slams their boss that signs the pay check ?
Or slams the school and instructors who are there to teach them and enforce campus policy?
One who needs a few more years of life experience and maturity under their belt, before opening their mouths.

Is This 'Single Ladies' Video Too Hot for Tots? {ParentDish}
May 13th 2010 9:44PM The girls performance was fantastic and shows an advanced level of dance technique.
The outfits were appropriate for the routine and the song used.
The moves are all nicely choreographed and take great skill to master.
If the song were different or if the moves had been inappropriate, my opinion could have gone the other way..
I'd feel comfortable with my daughter or grand child being a part of that stellar production and group of highly talented girls.

What kind of idiot cheats when he has SANDRA BULLOCK?
You can do better Sandra..and have a man who will not cheat.
Ducky from NCIS says it best...........
"The ethical man knows he shouldn’t cheat on his wife, whereas the moral man actually wouldn’t.”
And thus, when one’s morals fail to match up with one’s ethics, we have word for that too: “hypocrisy.”

Editor,
Correct your bad grammar. "...Need a Hour A Day...," be "an Hour a Day.." Learn to write.

Mar 28th 2010 4:57AM The writer of the article got paid for his effort.
The reading audience fully understands the article.
Wheather "you" approve of his choice of spelling and grammar or not; makes no difference the the scope of the article, contextually or otherwise.
Try to focus or criticize something with actual value or merit worth pointing out.
The only input coming from your direction was negative and had nothing to do with the topic at hand.
Digs from "Spelling Police" clearly indicate that the person doing the correcting is far below the intellectual level required to participate in the discussion and therefore chooses to utilize their third grade level comprehension skills to cry about spelling and grammar as a form of participation.
Don't worry, some day, you could learn to focus on more important things......and could possibly get paid for writing - like the succesful author you chose to criticize.
