Jul 24th 2010 4:47PM I was told that it is one of the biggest misconceptions in "hypermiling" that shifting your car to neutral when coasting to a stop or going downhill will save you gas. As I understood the argument, with modern engine management, the engine will use a miniscule amount of fuel to keep itself from stalling when the transmission's in neutral. When you coast in gear, however, the wheels spinning will keep the engine running without using any fuel.
Apr 13th 2010 5:54PM Uhh...shouldn't it be the other way around?
Dec 2nd 2009 6:32PM Tip Four: Stick to One Kind of Alcohol
Tip Five: Say No to Drinks Made with Dark Liquors
MYTHS, MYTHS, MYTHS!! Hangover is a result of dehydration. Drinking too much means your body has to work that much more to metabolize alcohol. The harder your body works, the more water it uses.
There is one and only one way to stop hangovers. Don't drink too much!
