Cheeky House Tour Takes Marketing to the Next Level {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 14th 2011 1:28PM Wait...there was a HOUSE in that ad? Okay, but what really kinda creeped me out was that the woman on the couch never moved (at least from what I saw in the edited version). It was like she was dead...ewww.

Home Allegedly Set Afire in Neighbors' Facebook Feud {AOL Real Estate}

Nov 3rd 2011 4:51PM Oh, and I forgot to add that maybe the reason Harris received so many DECLINEs on her invitation had to do with this sort of personality trait that others see in her and NOT anything to do with the content of the invitation itself.

Home Allegedly Set Afire in Neighbors' Facebook Feud {AOL Real Estate}

Nov 3rd 2011 4:47PM I got defriended by my cousin because I had an opinion she didn't like, and she took it personally, even though it was NOT aimed at her. Go figure. I just laughed and said "oh, well" and moved on..... As the old saying goes, "Life is too short..." to dwell on stuff like that. I have so many other things in my life that make me smile and laugh. I'd rather be enjoying those things.

House of the Day: Breezy and Breathtaking in Malibu {AOL Real Estate}

Sep 6th 2011 1:10PM I agree. I prefer homes that have some kind of character, and coming home at the end of the day to something that looks like this seems depressing to look at. I've just been visiting Upstate New York, and some of the historic colonial homes up here, even in bad shape, seem much more "homey" than this cold concrete prison-block-style house.

Italian Luxury Label Tod's to Restore Rome's Colosseum {Luxist}

Jan 26th 2011 12:27AM There were several materials used to build the Colosseum, but mostly concrete (yes, they used it way back then!)

10 Careers Mostly Likely to Make You Depressed {AOL Jobs}

Dec 13th 2010 1:59PM One of my favorite comments about working came from my baby brother when he was little: "I wanna be a boss, cuz bosses don't work." (from the mouths of babes!)

10 Careers Mostly Likely to Make You Depressed {AOL Jobs}

Dec 13th 2010 1:55PM The best job I ever had was working for the Parks and Recreation Community Center. Everyone that came in was happy because they were there to sign up for classes and activities for fun. We supervised dances, swimming, tennis, crafts, etc. There was hardly ever a day when someone came in angry or upset. Most of the time, it was smiles! (The bad part of my job...I couldn't get full-time hours.)

CamberTire: Reinventing the Wheel {Translogic}

Sep 17th 2010 3:03PM I'm totally for this. I've understood about camber and caster and toe-in, etc., for years. What he's saying makes total sense. Glad to see you took them out for a test drive and did a critique on the ride and handling. Good luck. And let me know when I can have some for MY car! I'm not even driving a performance car, just my little "fire truck" PT Cruiser, but it sees a LOT of mileage. I look forward to getting a smoother ride and better handling.

Online Guru Promises Best Food Website EVER! {Slashfood}

Aug 16th 2010 2:34PM My cousin has a really good food site, too. Please check it out: http://foodmuses.wordpress.com/
She has some really good recipes and photos of her dishes there; very professional website.

Twelve Words You Didn't Know You Were Mispronouncing {Lemondrop}

Aug 16th 2010 4:09AM And that goes for the newscasters, actors, etc., who insist upon pronouncing the name of the State of Nevada as "Ne-VAH-da". True Nevadans are annoyed by the pretentious air exuded when pronouncing it that way. The true pronunciation is "Ne-VA-da" with the middle syllable's "a" rhyming with the "a" in "CAT"!
