Why the loss of big-name advertisers doesn't matter to Glenn Beck {Daily Finance}
Dec 2nd 2009 9:16AM I watch all the news channels, then try to extract & extrapolate with regard to what I know to be true. I've gotten very good at it over 54 years of living on Earth and have determined that the "commentators" on FOX news impart the least amount of truth, and simply bend, omit, add, delete, miscontextualize, misquote, etc. to suit their own monetary gain & that of FOX news for ratings & advertisers. It certainly does not appear to be REAL impartial journalism & reporting, but instead is only forced opinions with contrived misinformation, and it is ABSOLUTELY NOT "fair & balanced". But it does have value, and that is it keeps the heads of the unknowing, unthinking & tunnel visioned of us Americans from exploding, because they think they have people to share their greifs & frustrations with, therefore thinking it must be true. Unfortunately, it is dynamically convoluted pretzel logic on most counts, especially Beck's.
How, and How Not, to Store Bread {Luxist}
Nov 13th 2009 12:03PM I have always kept all types of bread in my refrigerator, but in a plastic bag. I always "squeeze" the air out of the bag and the bread does not go stale. It keeps well for more than a week in almost all cases. If it needs refreshing, then 10 seconds in the microwave does the trick. Bread will last much, much longer in a fridge than on the kitcehn counter, because the temperature inhibits mold growth. But the important thing is, get as much of the air as you can out of the plastic bag. The only bread I leave on my counter is Italian bread, which usually comes in a paper bag. You must either keep the paper wrapped bread in a plastic bag, or do away with the paper & just plastic bag it. It stays fresh & soft for several days, unless high humidity promotes the mold growth. Still, the refrigerator is BEST.
Brit Named Harry Potter Is Living a Magical Nightmare {Lemondrop}
Nov 1st 2009 1:43PM I attended my 6 years of junior high & high school with a girl named "Princess" and her last name was "Ringland". Princess Ringland, wow. If I were her parents, I think I might have named her Kate, a bit more normal. But normalacy is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.
Donovan McNabb: I'm a Mike Vick Supporter {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Aug 3rd 2007 4:43PM I still can't figure out why some people who are making "all the money in the world" need to engage in bull*#@& activities like this, that they are at least somewhat smart enough to realize is illegal and will BLOW THEIR WHOLE TRIP if found out & penalized for it !!! Lost endorsements, dignity and lost income, for sake of having animals brutalize each other and making some more money off of it.
I guess it's not too different from "gangsta rappers" making millions from their "artistry", yet blowing it all away by dealing cocaine or shooting somebody who looks at them cross-eyed. Go fiqure, makes no sense to me.
