Feb 11th 2009 9:18AM I dont even walk on the carpet bare footed in my own house, and wont allow my husband too away from home. He is NOT getting in bed with me, touching me with his dirty feet, after walking ON ANY hotel floor. Im sure maids get a very low pay and they just hurry through to get what has to be done in a days time. I leave nothing to chance. Lyson from the door to the shower sprayer, phones, anything I touch, including the floor, gets sprayed. Its the safest I know how to be. Hazmat suit? NOT a bad idea!!!!
The worst room I ever stayed in was the Red Roof Inn in Atlanta. Long story short, I took my boys there for the park. Went to go out for dinner and the door was jammed, we couldnt open it. I called the front desk, explained we were trapped in our room. He said it would be atleast 30 minutes before someone could come get us out, he was backed up! OMG, fire hazard! I was furious. The boys being the young teens they were at the time, maybe 12 and 14, just kicked and kicked the knob till it gave way. Fire Marshall loved that one! One woman and two sons, trapped in hotel fire, while desk manager refused to leave his customers and free them. That would have been what the head lines looked like! Red Roof Inn, never ever again.
Feb 11th 2009 8:47AM I really don't think considering the price it was that bad, and the CITY. NY is not known for clean anyway. Now, go on down to MS, and I can show you some rooms that look way better. I was very impressed by a 60.00 room I got, very impressed. I take lysol with me and I use the heck out of it when I have to stay anywhere other than home. No exception on this room. Even had a touch of Arizona too it. Nice walls, etc. I was telling my husband I was very impressed with the price and the room. To my dismay, he happen to find a pair of mans underwear left under the TV. That was a first. I absolutely hate staying in any hotels. And 89.00 will get you a suite in Nashville that looks very good, with the bedroom being separate. I like your undercover work Mike! Now, check out the lower economy ones, because thats what we are looking for these days! Once I am sure I stayed in one that had a horrible smell, like cat had been there? I had to cover my noise all night. I later learned thats what a Meth Lab smells like. OMG You never know. I prefer home sweet home!
Oct 7th 2008 12:46AM I think I was clear on how I felt about the ones who lost their lives and his children. No matter how you slice it or dice it, everyone suffered. BUT God forgives. I believe the word of God, not bloggers, and no matter who they are or what they do, they need Jesus. And they will pay here, but he can escapse from eternal punishment. You get the mercy you give, you might want to think about it, incase you need mercy. Or as some of you say KARMA... whatever the heck that means. Thats my opinion on the whole matter, lives were ruined and his sins have caught up with him. May he repent for what he has done, and may people learn to show love and mercy. Geez, youd think it was your own family. Forgiveness isnt even optional for heaven bounders. You have to forgive to be forgiven, so I refuse to get stuck in unforgiveness. Jesus was crusified for ALL sin...
Oct 7th 2008 12:37AM I do know this, God is clear on this, be sure your sins will find you out... while he is sitting in prison, he will finally confess to those murders. And if he confesses to God he will forgive him, there is nothing he can do that God want forgive him for, So I pray his children can have normal lives with families of their own, and may God have his way in his life. Sad to throw your life away, no matter who you are, rich, poor, famous or not. Just a sad story. And I feel for the ones who lost their lives... just sad
Jul 23rd 2008 11:14AM This was interesting... I had no idea it smelled like cat pee. I stayed in a place like that once, and we couldnt bare it, so we got our money back and left! I never knew it was anything but a cat. It was horrible! I'll know next time.
Jul 23rd 2008 10:57AM Jamie, Im just curious, how is booking in advance better? Id prefer to stay someplace I can check it out first.
FYI Hotels that are near an on ramp or intersection, are never good, thats a high crime place NORMALLY.
Recently, we stayed in a nice place in MS. I thought we did a pretty good job picking the place at an affordable rate. It was very clean. Till my husband noticed on the floor, under a table, was someone's left behind underwear, so much for vacums! If they had used it, they would have found them....
Jul 21st 2008 1:33PM The great Depression! Thats all we need to do, is panick and run out and take our money out of the bank. That would be the final straw for the economy. Leave your monies there, its safe! Its NOT safe for everyone to panick as they did in 1929. We have 20/20 looking back, and we know what caused the depression, and I wasnt anywhere close to being born during that time, but I watch history. And it wasnt GOOD.
Dont panick! Pray!
Jul 16th 2008 2:52PM sam maurer You are SO RIGHT! It doesnt matter who was in office, this was way back then and has yet to be fixed by any party.
Jul 16th 2008 2:45PM Jimmy Carter is spineless and always has been and anti American, as far as Im concerned. He has to be the worst president we ever had. So I will give him NO credit for this. BUT DRILL THE FREAKING OIL WE HAVE NOW! I dont know about anyone else, but I am seeing PUMP rage at the pumps.... Lives will be lost if Congress dont get out of this and let GWB have his way! Despite anyones opinion, atleast he has the right idea. DRILL!
Jul 16th 2008 2:42PM While they are trying to use corn, its causing National starvation in other countries, and we arent far behind if we dont open those sources! DRILL DRILL DRILL... There has never been a shortage of oil, it was capped up, someone was looking down the window of TIME.. I think its a God thing.
