Jul 30th 2010 11:39AM Another blow for New Jersey and Italian Americans. When will it end? With the exception of Sammi, all are native New Yorkers. Snooki is adopted and not of Italian ancestry! I'm also weary of having folks declare that Italian Americans have some secret self-loathing whenever we defend ourselves against negative stereotypes. Is defending your ethnicity only allowed when you are a minority??? I think not! ALL ethnic and racial slurs are unacceptable! And please stop judging The Garden State by using this preposterous show as an "example," as all it exemplifies is the idiocy of its "stars".

Jun 22nd 2010 11:44PM You're not alone! We just spent close to $2,000 on a two-day stay for our cat, Rudy, at an animal hospital. He has resperatory issues and would surely have died if we hadn't acted quickly and taken him to an accute animal care facility. He's a 10-yr-old shelter cat, and we love him. He's one of the family. Things are tight, but I can't imagine doing anything differently!
