The bills are going to pile up if they build them like they currently build the more expensive models. But a 100,000 V8 Ferrari that looks like the renderings...that would be great.

Jun 19th 2007 8:37AM I can't wait for the R8 to get here. I think it looks great, and a diesel would really do the trick for me, but I agree that a 0-60 time of 5 seconds really isn't all that great anymore (not for around 140K US).

Jun 10th 2007 4:02PM I don't think that Porsche will be able to increase sales to these numbers, yes the Panamera will give it a push in the US, but these other countries they is currently a vary small number of people who can afford any type of luxury car and when they can they can get anything they want (Ferrari, Bentley, etc.). Thus I just don't see them being able to grow to 500K/year and with that type of expansion they would be required to make huge increases in production capacity and keeping their level of quality as high as it has been will be increasingly difficult. 150K Ok, 175K, sure, but 300-500+ come on...

Jun 9th 2007 9:50AM Is there really a large market for 100K plus covert's that don't perform that well? I would think that Bently and the new Rolls will have that market much better covered than MB. For guys who claim a "business case" for every car they make, it is hard to see on this one. It might be like the SLR.
