Jan 22nd 2010 1:08PM When I saw the headline that a major star was leaving B&S, I tought to myself, "please let it be Rob Lowe." Yay, it was! He is so full of himself and one of the worst actors around. I think the only reason he gets roles is because of his (supposed) good looks. I think he looks very effeminate.

Actually, I saw Southland a couple of times and couldn't watch it anymore. All the constant bleeping of language made watching the show very distracting.

Jan 11th 2010 6:43PM I guess I don't "get" how Leno has sabotaged O'Brien. O'Brien is just not funny. He is very childish, and I am so tired of his hair jokes. I don't believe Leno had a choice about giving up the 11:30 spot. They made a contract with Jay to leave the spot in 2009 so O'Brien would stay at NBC. NBC was trying to be all things to both of them and ended up pissing both of them off. I hope one of them (preferably Jay) goes to Fox or ABC. Let NBC keep Conan and let their ratings keep going down.
Regarding uprooting his family and staff. That was his decision. Happens all the time in Corporate life. And, as in Corporate life, things don't always work out.

Dec 12th 2009 12:47PM I have to fly on American because that is who my employer has contracted with and we have to fly them unless there is no other option.
I have found their service both on rhe ground and in the air to be deteriorating at an alarming rate.
Last year I had the flight from hell from Los Angeles (LAX) to Jacksonville, FL. Only a wonderful gentleman from Delta Airlines was able to get me to Jacksonville at all. I wrote a letter to Delta to commend him. A very long story, but I had seven boarding passes for AA, five of which were used. I was supposed to leave LA at 8:00 a.m. and get into Jacksonville at about 5:00. I got in at a few minutes before midnight, just very shortly before the airport closed for the night. My itinerary took me all over the US due to cancelled flights by AA. God bless Delta.

Jul 2nd 2009 12:52PM In the "olden days" it used to be legal to include personal questions on applications such as height, weight, age, hair color, etc. One of the questions was sex (meaning male or female). The person wrote "twice a week."
I also had a person apply for a job as a plumber. On the application he wrote he wanted to be a "plumper." To this day, I still call plumbers "plumpers."
One resume included a picture of a man in a black suit, smoking a pipe, with one leg up on a red velvet chair with a dog by his side. 8 x 10 glossy! I am sure he thought he looked quite sophisticated.
We used to have a "wall of shame" where we posted applications and resumes that we thought were funny.
