Jennifer Rade: As far as celebrities wearing sunglasses, it's like ... look, if you had 50 paparazzi flashing bulbs in your face all day? You'd wear sunglasses. And you also don't want to worry about whether you're wearing makeup or not, if your eyes are tired, and sunglasses are a way to give yourself a personal space. It hides your emotional life a little bit, while simultaneously expressing your personality, you know, depending on what you're wearing. I mean, besides the fact that they protect your corneas, and your retinas, which I certainly appreciate, there's an amount of emotional protection, and I think celebrities appreciate that. 15/07/09
