Fred and Helen Lockwood of Maison Des Bulliats (1 of 10)

Fred and Helen Lockwood True love is the kind that endures great change. Fred and Helen Lockwood, retired university teachers, bought a property in Régnié, France in 2005 and started making a cru Régnié Beaujolais red wine that they call 'Tradition Romantique' at their Maison Des Bulliats winery. The pair have been married for 32 years and Helen reports that the challenging project of running a winery has been good for their relationship. Inspired by Valentine's Day, Helen cooked up this poem. Some thoughts I have on this romantic day Expressed in rhyme, which is my way. When men and women everywhere Will celebrate, and hearts do bare, What helps love stay? A sense of humour is a must Respect, support, above all trust, Challenges faced side by side There for each other to help and guide. Finding new ventures has been our way The latest, producing wine in Beaujolais! It's not been easy, all be it fun And always something to be done But when the busy days are through We relax with Régnié wine and local fare Drink to all our luck and life we share. 'Maison des Bulliats' is the name 'Tradition Romantique' we call it Try some and you can do the same! 14/02/09
