The Lungarno (Spring 2008) (2 of 12)
JA: The Lungarno was, if you take a look at the shape, a coin purse, that had little balls on it. The original one still had the balls on it, but to make it a little more feminine, I added what I call the Pine Closure. The chain really was a labor of love, it took about six months to really get the weight down. It you take a look, it's not that heavy, but it's not hollow. When you pick it up, it has some sort of substance to it.
L: I really love what you've done with -- is this leather that you've woven in here?
JA: It's python. And the bag is python. So we weave the python through the chain. And one of the things I try to do is, when you open up a bag like this ...
L: So exciting! Bright pink! 11/05/09
