Rockefeller Center Tree, 2009 (1 of 7)
Thousands of onlookers watched as 30,000 energy efficient LED lights burst into color on this 10-ton, 76-foot tall, 40-foot wide, Norway Spruce that is approximately 70 years old. The tree is topped with a spectacular Swarovski crystal star. Through the holidays, approximately 750,000 people will see the tree every day. Tishman Speyer/Photographer Gregory Scaffidi 11/12/09
