This striking home in Matadapera, Spain, Torre Salvans was built in the 1930s on land ten kilometers from the city of Terrassa for a Catalonian family of industrialists. When the Spanish Civil War broke out the Terrassa City Council took over responsibility of the Torre,to protect its artistic heritage. It later became the residence of President AzaƱa until the end of January 1939. 01/02/08
