In 2005 Joe DiMaggio's rookie New York Yankees uniform from 1936 was to be auctioned off and Sotheby's expected that the uniform to be sold for $600,000 or more. The uniform did not sell at that auction but will probably eventually be put up for sale again. 19/06/09
