Cunard's Queen Elizabeth's Maiden Voyage to New York (14 of 26)
The centerpiece of the grand lobby aboard the ship is an 18 1/2 foot panel created by David Linley, son of the late Princess Margaret. Linley is a well-regarded for his furniture and marquetry designs. The work shows the port bow of the original Queen Elizabeth ship from a sea level. It featrures a technique of marquetry inlay with nine individual panels made of various types of wood veneers seamlessly jointed to board.
