Bono (10 of 12)
At the tail end of last year, activist and musician Bono, sold off his rare Ducati 916 motorcycle which had also been previously owned by the late INXS singer Michael Hutchence and fellow U2 band member Adam Clayton. The bike raised over $22,500 for Riders for Health to help health workers in Africa reach rural villages with essential healthcare. Bono signed the tank of the bike with a personal message in memory of his late friend, Michael Hutchence, putting 'For Michael, Bono'. Bono has been a rider for a long time. The song "One Tree Hill" from U2's Joshua Tree album is dedicated to a friend, Greg Carroll, who died in a motorcycle crash in Dublin while delivering Bono's motorcycle. 12/02/08
