Villa del Arco Beach Resort and Desert Spa (3 of 4)
The resort is part of the Villa Group which also owns Villa La Estancia and Villa del Palmar in the same area around El Médano Beach. The villas will also share the new Desert Spa which is also opening at the same time. The Desert Spa has a hacienda theme and includes a cold plunge pool, cold pressure showers, steam room, sauna and 17 treatment rooms plus two VIP suites with a private Jacuzzi and shower. The complex also has a fitness center and a yoga/Pilates studio with classes. Villa del Arco has 231 one, two and three-bedroom suites with a complete kitchen, marble floors, granite countertops, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, large walk-in closet and a balcony. Resort amenities include two outdoor pools with waterfalls, spa tubs, children's areas, and views of the sea and offshore rock formations. One pool also has a full-sized replica of a Spanish galleon which you can see in the picture above, that offers a spot for casual snacks, lunch and cocktails. The pirate theme continues with The Bucaneer, a pirate bar that offers a sandwich and light dining menu. Finer fare can be found at La Perla, a steak and seafood restaurant and at El Faro, a tapas and raw bar spot. 21/04/08
