One of the world's rarest stamps, this mint condition 1851 Canadian 12 pence denomination postage stamp depicting a young Queen Victoria is one of the highlights of the William H. Gross British North America Collection. It is expected to sell for at least $150,000 in a public auction to be conducted by Spink Shreves Galleries in New York City, November 19, 2009, with all proceeds to be donated by Wall Street executive Gross and his wife, Sue, to the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C. 17/10/09
