Barbecues, family reunions, birthday parties on the lawn, and weddings galore are part of what makes summer so much fun for fashion lovers. This year, as in every year, summer shoes are out in force -- but is your collection complete? The latest high-low collaboration involves Italian line Missoni and sneaker maker Converse. WWD reports that at Saturday's Missoni menswear show in Milan in addition to the fashion on the runway showing Angela Missoni spring/summer 2010 line, attendees got a first look at the Premium Chuck Hi Missoni which were worn by Tai Missoni. The sneakers will be part of the spring/summer 2010 line. Converse has done lines with many designers including Thome Browne.

Fast fashion just got a boost with the announcement that H&M is partnering with shoe and handbag brand Jimmy Choo. The luxury brand, famous for sky-high stilettos and large purses, will create a line of shoes, bags and accessories for men and women that arrive in stores on November 14. Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo's founder and chief executive, promises "a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!"

Jimmy Choo will create clothing for H&M which will be designed to match the accessories rather than the other way around. With all the designers pairing up with lower-priced stores there has been a bit of high-low fatigue lately but this particular collaboration should be a hot seller.

These Crystal-Heel Sandals by Miu Miu invoke a sort of old-time "gold and riches" type glam thanks to plenty of glitzy over-sized crystals that look as if they've been pressed onto the shoes' heels while they were covered in molten gold. Other than that the shoe is pretty classic in design, featuring shimmery gold metallic leather in a T-strap sandal with an ankle strap that buckles on one side. A lovely summer statement for those who just can't help but want an extra shot of bling. $695

Heels often turn heads but not like this. French actress Marion Cotillard caused a stir with her unique Dior shoes at the Bike in Style challenge in New York City this week. The strappy shoes were designed by John Galliano and the heel is in the shape of a fertility goddess. Cotillard paired the shoes with an understated suit. The shoes first hit the runway last fall as part of John Galliano's Dior spring/summer 2009 'Tribal Chic' collection.

Betsey Johnson's style is unique, edgy and unexpected to say the least. So its a little surprising to see how tame the Harley Sandals are. They feature a funky mix of dark and light floral prints and a cork heel which will add some extra padding and comfort. High-end Italian racing accessories company OMP Racing has introduced an amazing new collection of vintage-inspired gear that expresses the essence of classic motorsports and Steve McQueen style. Every product sold by the Genova-based company founded in 1973 is produced in Italy at the company's advanced 80,000 sq. ft. factory with a private racetrack, where every item is tested for quality, durability and safety. The Vintage collection (above), which includes a thermoplastic helmet with dark brown leather piping, fire-resistant cream stretch gloves with suede palms and inserts, and Carrera racing boots in ultra-soft leather with high sensitivity hydrocarbon-resistant soles, pays homage to some of the very first products OMP ever produced.

During a fashion show you don't usually spend all your time looking at the shoes but if you are at the Rockin the Runway fashion show on May 8 you might want to be looking down. The event takes place as part of The Historic America's Polo Cup World Championship at the Capitol Polo Club in Montgomery County, Maryland where Australia will compete against the United States. The shoes are the work of British shoe designer Chrissie Morris who will accessorize all the outfits from top design houses such as Chanel, Versace and John Galliano.

Morris has won many awards for her designs which take their inspiration from knitwear and sweaters that incorporate multiple knit patterns. The shoes are architectural and bold. Her most arresting designs are reminiscent of Art Deco architecture using geometric shapes to showcase the ankle and leg.

With summer approaching, it may do no good to lust after a pair of suede pumps but these are just to gorgeous to ignore. It has a rich dark chocolate tone that is beautifully accented with beige leather trim and heels. These 5 inch beauties will not only add height but instant sex appeal when paired with any outfit. Michelle Obama's fashion choices continue to raise eyebrows. Even her sneakers aren't safe. Michelle Obama and Jill Biden pitched in at a Feeding America event. Mrs. Obama wore a casual sweater, capri pants and a pair of shiny suede and pink metallic sneakers from Lanvin. It turns out that the sneakers with grosgrain ribbon laces cost $540 and this has tongues clucking. The NY Daily News reports that the kicks, which come in denim and satin versions have been selling well all season. Given that Mrs. Obama often wears shoes by Jimmy Choo and other expensive designers, it's not clear why the sneakers are so provocative. Is it because they are casual footwear? Given the controversy perhaps next tiime she'll head to J.Crew for the sneakers too, the most expensive pink Jack Purcell pair sells for $195.
