Pacman Jones in Tennessee, Estate of the Day

Oh wow, NFL cornerback and occasional aspiring wrestler Adam "Pacman" Jones is another athlete hoping for a big sale on his house. The flamboyant former Nashville Titan has moved on to the Dallas Cowboys and so he has put his Franklin, Tennessee home up for sale. And reading the blurb on the Real Estalker I knew I was in for a doozy. I've never seen quite so many gargantuan televisions in one place outside of a sports bar. The five-bedroom home is on 30 acres (the property website is called 30 acres and a lake). I'm not sure quite what to make of this one-- a big brick arch in the middle of a room for no good reason, a bedroom that appears to have a set of home theater seats plunked in front of a massive screen, a bathroom that seems to be designed based on the health clubs and gyms that Pacman Jones has likely seen a few of-- all these things combine to make a home that is many things but welcoming is not one of them. The property includes an eight-stall horse barn and a bucolic dock and lake spoiled by the addition of fountains. No pool but there is an above ground hot tub plunked onto the back deck. There are also two other homes on the property. Jones picked up the home in 2006 from an actress and a producer for $1.575 million and has listed it for $1,799,950 which the listing calls "priced well below market value." Maybe, but it will still be a hard sell.

Uma Thurman Sues Lancome

It's safe to say Uma Thurman won't be wearing Lancome any time soon. The actress has filed a $15 million lawsuit against the French cosmetics company saying that they continued use her face in their ads after her contract expired. The licensing agreement to use Thurman's image ended in 2004 but the suit says that the brand has continued to use her face to sell products around the world for the past four years. Lancome has filed their own suit saying that it did not violate the contract and does not owe her money. A spokesperson for L'Oreal, the owner of Lancome, said that the use of her image after the contract expired was not deliberate or intentional.

This isn't the first time we've seen celebrity endorsement gone wrong. Last year, watch company Raymond Weil sued Charlize Theron after she wore a Dior watch to an event while under an exclusive endorsement agreement with Weil.

Frolicking in Ford at the Met Gala

At the Metropolitan Museum's star-studded Costume Institute Gala in Manhattan the other night, all the best-dressed men wore tuxedos by Tom Ford. While some fellows got creative with their black tie and others simply looked boring in notched lapel numbers, those who sported Ford's threads -- including Gisele Bundchen's football star beau Tom Brady, actors Djimon Hounsou and Jimmy Fallon, and A-list shoe designer Christian Louboutin -- were the evening's standouts.

Ford himself (pictured here with actress Natasha Richardson) went with a classic double-breasted dinner jacket with grosgrain lapels. Brady, Fallon and Louboutin all wore Ford's signature single-breasted peak lapel style; Brady and Fallon went the extra mile with matching waistcoats. Hounsou wore a black three-piece wool and cashmere suit which was equally elegant, as you'll see in the gallery below. Ford's suits start at about $5,000.

Madonna To Sell Historic English Manor

Madonna recently bought some more space in her New York City co-op building and now it looks like she's set to divest herself of some real estate. The Sun reports that Madonna is looking to sell Ashcombe, her English country house in Wiltshire. She and Guy Ritchie bought the home in 2001 for £9 million and are now hoping to put it on the market for £12 million. The eight-bedroom home is listed as a Grade II structure by English Heritage. It was originally part of a larger building and was restored in the 1930s and 1940s by the photographer Cecil Beaton. Madonna and Guy are reportedly selling because they do not spend enough time at the estate especially since Madonna has been recording and touring again. We wish them luck, this is certainly not the best time to be selling England's housing slump is starting to rival the problem we have had in the States.

Schwarzenegger May Lose His Easy Commute

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger might be about to lose one of the perks of his job. Schwarzenegger regularly commutes by a Gulfstream IV provided by NetJets from Sacramento to Santa Monica but Bloomberg reports that a federal judge will decide on May 15 if he can continue to land at the municipal airport. The airport is a fast commute to Schwarzenegger's Brentwood home but Santa Monica city council members including the governor's brother-in-law, Bobby Shriver recently voted unanimously to ban the jets. The town of Santa Monica is now fighting the temporary restraining order obtained by the FAA that blocks enforcement of the ordinance and a U.S. District Court judge in Los Angeles will decide whether to allow the ban or send the matter to trial.

Part of the problem is that the Santa Monica airport is an older, small airport that was not built to accommodate jets that land at fast speeds and there is just one runway. There hasn't been an accident involving a jet on the runway but there are homes located very nearby. The FAA which wants to use the airport to help relieve air traffic in the crowded skies over Los Angeles has offered to add a concrete-like material at either end of the runway that would slow runaway jets and to help the city buy homes to make more room for planes landing and taking off. There is also a possibility that Santa Monica may try to close the airport in 2015, when its agreement with the FAA expires although it seems unlikely that will occur. As for Schwarzenegger, it's likely he will circumvent any potential ruling by either traveling by helicopter or landing at another airport but Bobby Shriver is already anticipating some teasing complaints around family gatherings from his beefy brother-in-law.

Jose Canseco Admits Home Foreclosure

Add another sports figure to the ranks of the celebrity foreclosed. Baseball player and controversial author Jose Canseco has walked away from his $2.5 million home in Encino, an area of Los Angeles. Canseco has said in an interview that it didn't make financial sense to keep paying the mortgage on a home that was "basically owned by someone else." Canseco cited his multiple divorces as another factor in his financial woes. It sounds like Canseco isn't facing the dire financial situation that some other people (Latrell Sprewell for example) have faced but merely opted out. His nonchalance seems a bit cavalier at a time when people are really agonizing over their homes but it seems in the interview that he is keenly aware that his situation is different from others who are struggling.

Pamela Anderson's Big Yard Sale

Pamela Anderson is mainly known for her physical attributes but she's also a huge fan of shabby chic . And like another famous blonde, Tori Spelling, she's having one monster garage sale. The sale starts tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. sharp at the Malibu mansion she's been renting for the past year. The pink and black website for the sale has pictures of some of the items for sale include many pieces of white furniture including armoires, headboards, vanities, sofas and more. The sale also includes outdoor furniture, clay pots, scooters, skateboards, a Jacuzzi and even an electric car. There is no street parking and everyone who wants to go to the sale must take a shuttle from a local market to get there. If the crowds are anything like the hordes that turned out for Tori's sale, be prepared to wait in a long line to get in.

Jane Seymour's Jewelry Line

The latest celebrity with a jewelry line is Dancing With The Stars cast-off Jane Seymour. Seymour who also has a furniture and home decor line and is a painter, has created Open Hearts by Jane Seymour to be sold at Kay Jewelers. The line was inspired by Seymour's "Healing Hearts" paintings and represents the idea that if one's heart is open it will never stay broken. The two open hearts linked together also symbolize that two people can be one, while still retaining their individuality. The line includes sterling silver charms as well as gold and diamond necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings ranging from under $40 to $1,500. No word on if these jewels benefit charity likePetra Nemcova's heart jewelry does.

Shopping Oprah's Hand-Me-Downs at the Oprah Store

In Los Angeles there are few places to buy a celebrity's castoffs but you likely have to be a size two or four but if you are Oprah-sized (sizes 10 to 14) you might want to head to Chicago. Across the street from Oprah Winfrey's studios you'll find Oprah's Closet located in The Oprah Store, a souvenir shop full of Oprah-related accessories. Oprah's Closet features her designer cast-offs with names like Chanel, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent including a large selection of lightly worn shoes. The prices are still pretty high, these are designer duds after all and the provenance has its own value.
