The organization was founded by the family of a woman named Jenny who suddenly took both her and her husband's life while suffering from untreated post partum depression. The 1984 Fishbowl by Danny Cheung

I came across this gem while browsing pictures of unique children's rooms. Named The 1984 Fishbowl, this revamped design by Danny Cheung putts a modern twist on the age old glass fish bowl. It's quirky shape is eye catching, the windows are made of magnified glass providing a detailed look at your goldfish, while the opaque walls provide refuge. I love the retro look of this funky little fish bowl, it would make a stylish addition to any room, and I imagine kids would go nuts for it. Available online for $430.

The one-year anniversary of these senseless deaths is this month, donating to their cause is a great way to help keep their memory alive while furthering education/prevention efforts.

Hermes, Dior & Louis Vuitton vs. eBay

In recent fashion news a French court ruled in favor of Hermes in a case they brought against eBay that involved the sales of fake handbags. This case set precedent and although the punitive fines involved are relatively small, the outcome of the case undoubtedly has eBay a little worried. The verdict directly challenges eBay's argument that it is not directly responsible for what is sold on its web site. Did I mention Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton all have similar cases in the works against eBay! In response, eBay has said it takes counterfeiting very seriously and points to the steps it has taken since the case was first launched to improve its anti-counterfeiting measures. I'm interested to see the outcome of all this and I wonder if consumers will notice any changes in online auction policies as a result.
