Dell's $10K XPS Desktop

Dell's XPS 600 Renegade is finally coming to consumers but get your order in now because quantities are limited. The $10,000 price tag is mainly due to the enormous 30-inch flat panel monitor. Built for gaming enthusiasts, the processor will clock in at 4.26 Ghz. The custom paint job alone might set you back a few hundred. Our friends over at Engadget have all the technical details and arguments for and against the $10K beast.

Nefarious Sunglasses

You may have seen Nefarious shades on such rock stars such as Nelly, Snoop Dogg and Usher.  The founder, Jason Hoehn, has created a stylish, vintage rock star inspired design which uses high grade diamonds, emeralds and rubies. Nefarious clients can create their own custom jewelry which includes rings, necklaces and bracelets. These diamond frames go for $30,000.

The Flying Luxury Hotel

The Aerocraft resembles a blimp but we like the name "flying luxury hotel". The two-football-fields-long airship hasn't reached the prototype stage yet but one might be ready by 2010. The hotel in the sky has a range of several thousand miles with an estimated top speed of 174 mph. The interior might include luxury rooms, restaurants, and a casino. Several cruise ship companies have expressed interest in the project. Capacity is limited to 250 passengers. I like the flying hotel concept but the traveling speed suggests the flying adventure is more important than the destination.

The New Porsche 911 Turbo

The new 911 Turbo will debut soon in Geneva but the marketing blitz has already begun. The 480 hp six-speed manual transmission rockets to 62 mph in just over 3.9 seconds.  Power is managed by a redesigned AWD system, which replaces the previous version's viscous coupling with an electronically controlled multi-disc clutch. The 911 debuts here in July with a starting price of $122,900. Our friends over at Autoblog have all the details.

MooBella Ice Cream

MooBella ice cream is a great concept. It's an automated process which makes ice cream on the spot.  We'll call it an ice cream vending machine and it's pretty damn cool. Every scoop is custom made right within the machine. You can choose 12 different flavors and 3 kinds of mix-ins in each machine. All you standard flavors are available: Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry. Other flavors include Caramel, Butter Pecan and Cake Batter. Mix-ins include Chocolate Chips,  Peanut Butter Cups and Walnuts. Choose your flavor and mix-in and within seconds your custom scoop is served. No word if the machines are available yet and we're not sure about the taste but I haven't ran across a bad scoop of ice cream yet.

20-Acre Michigan Luxury Estate

Located in metro Detroit, this 20 acre estate was owned by Larry Wisne, former CEO of Progressive Tool & Industries Co. until its sale last year as part of a divorce settlement. Recently the realtor, Chris Knight, turned down an offer from Sean "Diddy" Combs to rent the estate on Super Bowl weekend. Guess he didn't come up with enough cash. Eminem is not buying it nor is Madonna as far as we know. The 21,363-square-foot-home is hidden behind surveillance cameras and a remote-controlled gate. All 6 bedrooms have their own bath. There is a movie theater, a bowling alley, a steam room, a wine vault and wine tasting room, cigar room, a media room with seven built-in big-screen TVs and a herringbone leather floor. The pool has a 60-foot-long water slide. There are more than $5 million worth of landscaped waterfalls, seven ponds with trout and bass. There's enough garage space for 10 luxury vehicles. The estate lists for $11.25M.

Chrome Boxter For Kids

I don't recall anything this cool when I was a kid. Inspired by the famous 1952-1957 Ferrari F2 Racers the steel boxter is made from heavy gauge steel and is finished with a chip resistant non-toxic powder coating. Some assembly is required. No age requirement listed. Price $750.

iPod Nano Now 1GB

Today Apple quietly announced a 1GB nano on their store for $149. Our friends over at Engadget speculate Apple may be phasing out the shuffle which now sells for $69 for 512MB. A 1GB nano for $149 seems a little steep and song capacity is now down to 240 songs. Still enough jams for that quick workout or walk around the block, but you won't be carrying you entire music library with you on vacation.

Ferrari Projection Clock

This slim and sleek projection clock projects an image of the current time and Ferrari logo onto the wall or ceiling of a darkened room. A rotation knob allows you to rotate the projected image 180 degrees and you can focus the image manually. Clock features include date with month and day of week in five languages. 24-hour or 12-hour display format. You can also choose a Ferrari racing engine as your wake up call or a normal beep. LCD display indicates indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. Price $200.

Forbes Most Expensive Rentals

Forbes takes a look at the most expensive rentals in 10 cities, including New York, L.A. and Chicago. Actor Bruce Willis reportedly leased out a $55,000 per month apartment this month in New York's Trump Tower. The most expensive rental on the list is a $300,000 Miami-area mansion on Star Island. Top celebrities are usually the tenants for the rentals, such as Meg Ryan, Kevin Costner and Robert DeNiro who have short-term rentals in Chicago. In L.A, reality-television shows and sitcoms find the rent of a mansion to be far cheaper than creating a set from scratch.

Get Ready For Super Bowl XL

Are you ready for some football? Bought your 20-foot sub and 50 pounds of chips? Are you watching on a Plasma? HDTV? Got surround sound? Our sibling engadget has a look at pre Super Bowl prep, everything from that HDTV to refrigerators with a built-in 13-inch cable-ready LCD TV. On a side note, the Seahawks' are traveling in style thanks to their owner, Microsofts Paul Allen. The team has its own plane, and it's not exactly your average 757. "It's almost unfair," quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said. "Some people sleep on the flights. I tend not to sleep because I am so enamored by all of the stuff on the plane. The bathroom that is right in front of my seat is nicer than the bathroom in my first house that I owned. It's incredible. It's (the bathroom) got windows, it's got mouthwash, and perfumes for the flight attendants."

Tell us how you're partying for the big game. HDTV? Champagne? Grilled cheese and a diet coke? Going to the movies instead?

Trump Sues

No one can claim Trump doesn't think big, especially when it comes to real estate and lawsuits. Not only is he working on a 45-story luxury condo high-rise in Philly, he's decided to file a defamation lawsuit against Warner Books and author Timothy O'Brien for publishing claims that Trump's net worth is considerably lower than he claims. Trump is seeking $2.5 billion in compensatory damages and $2.5 billion in punitive damages. Trump said in a statement, "Rather than sitting back and letting false statements be published without challenge, I believe it is important to expose irresponsible, malicious and false reporting."  The book claims Trump's worth "somewhere between $150 million and $250 million."

Levi Strauss Debuts iPod-Compatible Jeans

MacDailyNews is reporting Levi Strauss is launching a wearable technology revolution with the introduction of new Levi's RedWire DLX Jeans. Available this fall, the jeans will be designed for both men and women and integrate iPod plug and play technology. Design features include:  Easy Pocket Storage -- An iPod docking cradle is built into the jeans and is "invisibly" housed within a side pocket.  "Hip" Controls -- A special joystick remote control is externally designed into the jeans' watch pocket to enable operation of the iPod. Handy Wire Retractor -- A handy retractable headphone unit has been built directly into the jean to help prevent tangles and efficiently manage the iPod earphone wires. Perhaps 2006 will be the "year of wearable technology". We recently featured another wearable item for the iPod, the Tunebuckle.
