As editor of Brides.com, a new wedding portal from the publisher of Brides andModern Bride magazines, Theresa DiMasi hears about all the top honeymoon destinations. So we asked her topick the five best places to go this season, either because these spots are buzz-worthy or little-known(for now) destinations. In addition to being great honeymoon spots, many of these places also will host weddings.

The Seychelles

DiMasi: This archipelago of 115 remote islands off the coast of Africa is one of the last truly pristine andsecluded paradises because the government has carefully managed tourism--and construction is strictly regulated. Forthe
ultimate African adventure, spend a week at the Banyan Tree Resort (pictured above), then head to Kruger National Park, the largest wildlife sanctuary in South Africa, for anoverland safari. Starting rate per night (three-night minimum): $1,320.

According to Sanderon, the company which makes the device, quickly being able to find your ball will speed up your game and you'll save money if you're not constantly losingballs. Additionally, I'd point out that this would be good for senior players who can't always locate their golf balls.Price: $270

The web site also has pictures of the Queen's visit to theLaunder factory in 1991. Thankfully, some designers are introducing tasteful gazebos, like this Tepraco Malibu Gazebo, available at Patiolife.com. Made of aluminum, this gazebo is weatherproof, meaning ownersdon't have to disassemble the thing during the winter (the web site suggests removing the canvas covering).Additionally, the web site notes that this model of gazebo is "perhaps more at home in California and NewMexico than besides an old Victorian Queen Anne." And I have to agree with that assessment. Available at Trixie and Peanut; $119.
Filed under: Handbags, Luxury Travel & Hotels, Pets

Shimmer London Pet Tote originally appeared on Luxist on Fri, 14 Apr 2006 10:07:00 EST. Butmy favorite is the cheerful yellow LexingtonAva clutch. But meremortals can also get Courtney's designs, and her new spring line includes these stackable diamond rings. The rings comein gold and platinum; prices range from $600-$4,800. According to her web site, the Dallas native got herstart in jewelry back in 1984 by applying Swarovski crystals to bandanas, sunglasses and watches. I'd say she's comequite a long way since those early days.

New Rings by Erica Courtney originally appeared on Luxist on Wed, 12 Apr 2006 17:04:00 EST. Or, if you are already one, find some other millionaires to hang out with? Moveto Los Alamos, New Mexico, where one in five households claims millionaire status, making the town the area with thehighest concentration of millionaires in the country, according to a study in Kiplinger'sPersonal Finance. Many residents in Los Alamos work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, where, as one wouldexpect, salaries for nuclear researchers aren't too shabby. Coming in behind Los Alamos is Naples/Marco Island,Florida, as well as the Bridgeport/Stamford/Norwalk, Connecticut region.

Felsen opened a new store (designed by KoningEizenberg & Associates, the same architects who did the Standard hotel) on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles last fall, while her pieces can also be ordered off her web site. The locket comes in either yellow or white gold. The versionshown here has a .48 carat amethyst in the center of the one-inch pendant with a border of pave set rubies. It sellsfor $4800 and would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift.

Suzanne Felsen Gold Locket originally appeared on Luxist on Sun, 02 Apr 2006 16:04:00 EST. Because the store (really, it's a warehouse) is only open one day a week (for now,Saturdays), and the location is impossible to find, the masses have yet to discover the place. As anyShareen devotee will tell you: "If you find the place, don't tell anyone else!"

Filed under: Apparel, Handbags, Jewelry, Shoes

Shareen Downtown Changes Schedule originally appeared on Luxist on Fri, 31 Mar 2006 16:01:00 EST. From moccasins tosandals, men get tons of options in shoes for the spring season. Here's a round-up of the freshest in men'sfootwear.

Paul Smith Leather Moccasin, $260

White, white, white--it's the fashion color of the moment. Which basically means that you can't go wrong by wearing anythingwhite, shoes included. There are tons of styles of white shoes for spring, but Paul Smith's take on the whiteleather moccasin is one of the nicest.
