Tiffany & Co. Makes San Francisco Giants World Series Ring

With the start of a new baseball season the team now gets their ring. Plus, one extra ring was made that will be raffled-off by the Giants for charity. The Tiffany & Co. made World Series ring is everything a star athlete could hope for. The ring is mostly in 18k white gold, with some yellow gold accents. It has 77 diamonds on it, which are placed in various spots on the ring. There is about 1 carat worth of stones. The top of the ring has the San Francisco Giant's "SF" logo, surrounded by the statement "World Champions." On one side (shank) of the ring is a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge with "2010." The other shank will have the name of the ring recipient engraved on it.
Really a nice ring overall and very handsome. This is the first ever ring Tiffany & Co. has made for the MLB World Series. Though Tiffany & Co. has been enlisted in the past to create championship rings for other sports such as football.
As mentioned, Tiffany & Co. has produced one extra San Francisco Giants World Championship ring that will be raffled-off to support the Giants Community Fund. The raffle for the SF Giants championship ring can be found here, and will last until July 26, 2011. As I am in San Francisco I can freely say, "Go Giants!" And thanks Tiffany.

When I look at all the issues facing the United States and the world, the fact that a team of people could be this horribly proud of a symbol of winning that will sit in a drawer or a display case seems too far out there. Sure it is the American dream to win the World Series, but these people should rethink those rings, down size and spend the money on charity organizations, help for those with mental issues, help for the neighborhood youth and elderly. The true legacy is not in some ring but rather how you leave your community and its people. The SF Giants are a great team with great men, and rings to show their personal committment to the GAME. Look around Oakland and SF and tell me their isn't more important things than a bunch of rings. It is time for a reality check.

So now Obama's society dividing envy cult has simple people begrudging a small token for doing something that maybe one half of one precent of the population has the skill to attempt, much less accomplish? It is a very sad day when an American would scoff at achievement in favor of feeding the parasites.

If you think charity is so important, spend your own money on it.
People do not have enough money for food, but they have a hell of a lot for drugs and alcohol.
America is going broke with phoney charities and phoney religious orginizations consuming America's wealth.
Congratulations to the Giants, but they are not my team.

@ Poor like the NFL is any better ? Their rings are just as expensive. They bitch cry and moan that the rules need to be changed so much so that the prissy ass QB's are almost untouchable by making it a penalty for hitting them. Are you serious?
