Steven Spielberg Sets Sail on His New $200 Million Megayacht
Famed director Steven Spielberg was recently spotted in St. Barth's and St. Maarten on his new $200 million megayacht, the Seven Seas (pictured above), a stylish 282-footer fitted with every imaginable luxury.
Built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco to the Hollywood mogul's specifications, it has a sophisticated interior design scheme with acres of walnut, teak and rosewood. Its most impressive feature is an infinity pool with a 15-ft. glass wall that doubles as a cinema screen so Spielberg and his guests can view movies while swimming or lounging poolside.
The Seven Seas has accommodation and luxury amenities for 12 guests along with a crew of 26, including a private owner's deck centered on a large master stateroom with a study and private deck area with a Jacuzzi. Other luxury touches include a helipad, fully equipped gymnasium, a spa and massage room and another, indoor cinema. Special stability systems allow the yacht to travel smoothly in any weather at 20 knots so the director doesn't get jostled while viewing his latest masterpiece.

But if you make 200,000 a year and are putting two kids through college you are an evil greedy rich person who isn't paying enough taxes. Liberals are crazy.
Sandy Mar 18th 2011 10:20PM
Poor Steven. He got taken like a sucker. This yacht isn't worth even close to $200 million. The builder was laughing all the way to the bank. He may know movies, but he sure doesn't know value.

Nice straw man, if you make less than 500k a year and vote republican than you are an idiot.

That is beautiful - but Http://www.bestbankruptcysite.info - how about giving some of that money to the homeless families in our beautiful USA??
mbcabaniss Mar 22nd 2011 9:22AM
No problem Derrick except Spielberg is one of the whiney liberals that is complaining about how others abuse their carbon foot print. Spend your money the way you want but don't bitch about others on how they spend theirs
dodgemomma440 Mar 22nd 2011 9:48AM
Just think of how many poor people in this world he could have helped. We the movie goer paid for that yahat! The rest of us do not get to enjoy ourselves to that extent of luxury. Why do just a few get to do this? The money could be better spent.

The Obama administration has LOWERED taxes on people making $200,000 or less. Either you aren't listening or you just can't stand to have a man in the White House that's darker than snow.

YOU TELL DERICK! (Or, is it derelict?) Spoken like a true bleeding heart freaking liberal.

I've seen some of this guy's crappy movies so I helped PAY for the f(BLEEP)cking thing. No doubt I wouldn't be allowed on board.

Don't go off on liberals. This is one of the many reasons We as a nation have to fund such a large Naval presence all over the world. Mr. Spielberg wants everyone to think he is very wealthy. One of the reasons for having a sophisticated military apparatus is to protect our nations assets. Mr. Spielberg would be considered an asset. Persons that make 400K a year and less would not be, unless there is some tie to a politician.

That is not true the complaint is the tax cuts for people to buy 200,000,000.00 dollar yachts you putz. There is a concentration of wealth at the top that is unprecendented and both political parties are to blame. Some people are brainwashed and fight about issues that dont exist and nothing gets done. 200,000.00 incomes are middle class and god bless those who can attain that level
js Mar 22nd 2011 1:04PM
Well said.
smwrbd Mar 22nd 2011 1:08PM
The liberal complaint you mention is incorrect. The liberal complaint is tax breaks for people who can buy 200 million dollar yachts, while the rest of us get pounded daily with with high taxes. William Buffet a billionaire said his secratary pays more taxes than he does. As long as people like you confuse the issues we will neverfix the problems in this country and your kids college will continue to be a burden to you and other middle class famlies
