Shoot 'n Share Camcorder Projector: Simple Enough for a Child to Use
The Shoot 'n Share Camcorder Projector, which retails for about $300 plus a memory card through Hammacher-Schlemmer, provides a nifty solution. You can instantly project what you just shot on to the nearest wall or flat surface, zooming in to check facial expressions and zooming out to check backgrounds.
The camcorder shoots 720p HD video and 8MP still photographs and projects a 5" to 65" image for sharing your just-captured shots.
While not quite as easy to figure out as my point and shoot one-button iFlip, the Shoot 'n Share doesn't take a brain surgeon to decipher. In fact, our 10-year-old son was able to instruct his Luddite parents in its usage in just a few minutes. And the truth is, it is easy once you get the hang of it: You push one button to record and another to project and share. No cords to hassle with and an image plenty big enough for everyone on the soccer team or in the boardroom to see.
With a microSD™ card, you can get up to 20 hours of 720p video. The unit connects with a USB to your computer and also works with the iPhone, iPod, smart phone, DVD player or gaming console. It has a built-in 14-lumen 640x480 projector.
The CP40 model combines movie theater and film projection all into one lightweight device that fits neatly-- if a little bulkily-- in a breast pocket or purse.
