Meadow Mountain, Estate of the Day

Meadow Mountain is an environmentally-conscious, gated estate poised atop 7.88 acres in exclusive Soda Creek in Evergreen, Colorado. Concierge Auctions is hosting a sale of the Meadow Mountain Estate, located at 33791 Meadow Mountain Road in the Soda Creek subdivision. It will sell absolute on March 25 and was regionally listed for $5.2 million. The auction will be conducted in cooperation with listing agents Anne J. Hardt and Erica Topel of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

The home has seven bedrooms and a curving design that avoids square corners. Using the hill's slope as a guide, the home's overall profile was kept low. Natural lighting shines through double-pane windows throughout. The resort-style property boasts a lower-level entertainment complex that includes a wine cellar, billiards hall, bar, exercise room and indoor pool. Three of the home's six spacious guest suites reside on this floor and there is an additional guest room at the lower level with a full kitchen and private entrance.

The home features several aquariums, carved wood rope columns and Saltillo tile flooring. The master bedroom has an en-suite office with built-in bookshelves and limestone slab countertops. A bay window seat provides a great nook for enjoying the view with a good book and there is also a wooden deck overlooking the mountain range.

The master bedroom features a cedar-planked ceiling with substantial log beams, as well as four custom stained glass windows. A private fireplace and berber carpet help keep residents warm after a cool night enjoying the vistas from the Ipe wood deck just outside. The master bath has a spa-style tub and glass stand-up steam shower.
Outside, a lighted waterfall system hides a heated cavern hot tub, tucked away grotto-style for all-season entertaining. One of the property's four water features, the hot-tub cavern, seats 12 and was outfitted with even the most luxurious of entertainment in mind. There is also a unique tipi living space with a solid log bed set and 600 square feet of oak hardwood flooring, centered around a stone-ringed fire pit. The 5,000-square-foot barn has a tack room, kitchen and sleeping area, as well as six stalls for equestrian life. Nearby, an insulated stucco doghouse and two-acre dog run, along with a heated whelping room, are available for dog care.
The auction will be hosted "live" at the property. Bidders can participate in person or via telephone or Internet. Meadow Mountain will be available for preview daily from 1-4pm and by appointment. The property is beautiful and house has a great flow and "bones" to it. The biggest issue though is that the buyer is probably spend an equal or higher amount to the auction price in updating it from the 80's.

Sharp decor that is typical of Colorado and fitting. Everything but the aquarium(s). And there isn't just one of them either. Not everybody in Colorado in this setting wants one or two of those lol.
This place is certainly worth it. It's beautiful everywhere. Lucky new buyer!
