Kim Kardashian's Million-Dollar Lollipop

Last weekend the bling was on the red carpet in Los Angeles. This weekend, the flashiest diamond-covered item on display might have been the $1 million diamond-encrusted Couture Pop and matching necklace presented to Kim Kardashian at the Sugar Factory at the Paris in Las Vegas. The lollipop will go on display in the store's Las Vegas Strip-facing windows. Kardashian has been repping for the designer lollipops since 2010 and former Spice Girl Mel B also has a line of the pops. The Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears had lines of the lollipops to support past tours. The lollipops have crystal-covered sticks with interchangeable color-coordinated heads.
David Arquette was supposed to attend but was involved in a car accident on the way to the Burbank Airport. On hand for the event were Mel B, Holly Madison Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin and Nick Cannon. Robin Leach has the full run-down of the event in his Las Vegas column.

Forget about Kim, I wish the world would spend their money on useful things as opposed to ridiculous accessories (is a lollipop even an accessory?)

She is so pretty- but her make up is WAY too yellow on her face, it is a totally different color than her hands. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what your supposed to do with the faux lollipop...

I got a $829 iPad 3G 64GB for $87.23 and my brother grabbed a $737 Samsung bleary theatre system for only $51.92, both arrive tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or bestbuy. I sold a 37" HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use two sites, both are good. SwipeBay. com
and BidsWave. com

Kardashian doesn't get it. The culture of excess is dead. She will continue to make money as long as we clamour for more information, because we believe a "normal" life is a boring life. The media has done a poor job of promoting financial responsibility. Photographers (I have nothing against you) continue to sell photos (for cash) to the media to control, shape, and influence american culture.I wonder why other countries hate the U.S. for our culture of flagrant excess. The recession is real, people have lost their homes, their jobs, and their healthcare. We have the largest population of children in poverty since the great recession. How does Ms. Kardashian show her sensitivity to the real world?? Promoting a diamond encrusted lollipop--for what???.......This young lady has a job as a pop icon.......imagine that..........staying in the media, selling fantasy, excess, poor taste, no class, and products (I assure you the diamond encrusted lollipop will be gone in less than 5 years--its not Bulgari (jewelry that has been around since 1884!), its some no name store in Vegas. I can't even believe I'm commenting, but I'm concerned about the young girls that are following this womans every move and believing that what she does in the public eye is what they should aspire to...........what a waste.
