Gallery: The Stafford London by Kempinski
Tucked away in the heart of St. James's Place, The Stafford London by Kempinski radiates an air of Englishness, from the 380-year-old working wine cellars to the restored Carriage House and contemporary Stafford Mews suites. The building became The Stafford Hotel in 1912 but elements of it are far older; the wine cellars are thought to have once been underground passages to the Royal palace, while the carriage house section of the hotel used to be the stables for the Royals' horses before it was converted into part of the building. If you wish to stay over for the Wedding party, room rates begin at about $530 per night while the luxe penthouse suite commands about $2,900 a night.
