Jesse Metcalfe Lists His Beverly Hills Post Office Area Home

Jesse Metcalfe is moving on. The former Desperate Housewives star bought his home in the Beverly Hills Post Office area in 2007. The Real Estalker reveals that Metcalfe paid $2.2 million for the three-bedroom home. The Mediterranean style property was built in 1999 and the listing terms it a sexy and hip home. The lot is of modest size but it does have a nice private backyard with water features and a stone hot tub perched high up a hill behind the house. The property also includes a full size guest cottage up the same hill.

The living room has a stone fireplace, French doors, hardwood floors and is currently outfitted with a Persian rug and a piano. Although only in his early 30s, Metcalfe has owned at least three houses in the Los Angeles area and made a modest profit on the two he sold in 2008 and 2006. That probably won't be the case here, his home is listed at $2.2 million, exactly what he paid for it.

I don't understand why he would sell, unless moving up? It's a beautiful home.

Yipes! Dreadful place. I think that ratty couch in the living room was in my frat house 40 years ago...now I know where it went! Pictures on the wall near the ceiling? Who took the real estate picture of an unmade rumpled bed? A spa so far uphill from the house that only a mountain goat could use it? A kitchen that makes medieval kitchens positively appealling? And only $2.2 million? Of course he's moving up---there's no other direction he can possibly go!

I love the privacy the spa provides. It looks down on the home in a very romantic and private way-gorgeous. Much better than just sitting outside the french doors as usual. The furnishings would be out of the home upon sale so I won't address the couch or the lack of skill in making the bed either.

The kitchen is updated but needs some brightening up although, the pics aren't good and perhaps when it's lit with the halogens from above, it's dramatic and beautiful as lighting like this provides. After all, it is meant to be rustic and is with the farmhouse sink and rough hewn cupboards and beams. That's the point of this home.

All in all, this is a beautiful home. Cleaning and new paint and it's worth what he's asking in this local.

a serious question- how could he afford a home like that? he is not a big-name actor and his role on desperate housewives was not that big. they must have paid him well... who knows.
