Aman Resorts Debuts Latest Spa at the Phillipines' Amanpulo

Aman Resorts are known by A-listers around the globe as some of the world's most prestigious getaways. Amanpulo, the chain's private island retreat set in the turquoise waters of the Philippines' Sulu Sea, is already an ideal beach getaway.

But even great things can get better ... in this case with the addition of its Aman Spa.This new facility includes six spa treatment rooms in three pavilions, a yoga and meditation pavilion, a Pilates studio, a gymnasium and a finishing salon for hair, hand and foot treatments. Two steam rooms with cold plunge pools will open in March.

Amanpulo is the only property island of Pamalican, 179 miles south of Manila. The spa is located on a slope above the treetops and with views of the Sulu Sea, the spa is composed of a series of pavilions constructed of native wood and other natural materials.

Guest's spa journeys begin with a pick-up by spa valet or their private casita's buggy, complimentary for all guests as part of their island transportation.

The spa offers six treatment rooms in three separate pavilions, all of which are positioned for spectacular water views. Four of the rooms can accommodate two people. Each of the generously-sized treatment rooms offers a deep-soaking bath tub, washroom, dressing area and steam shower. Floors are made of native timber and ceilings are layered in shell. We'd suggest booking the spa's 90-minute Hilot Therapy Massage,which includes a herbal soak, followed by a massage with warm banana leaves and coconut oil.

Relaxation salas, the perfect place to unwind post treatment, are situated next to two of the three pavilions.

The Fitness Pavilion, located across the path from the Reception Pavilion, overlooks Manamoc Island and features state-of-the-art equipment. Opening in March, a lower floor of this building will house Aman Spa wet areas, including male and female lounges with steam rooms, cold plunge pools and outdoor relaxation verandas tucked into the tree canopy.
