Adam Sandler Gets Star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
Adam Sandler is the proud recipient of the 2,431st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard. Sandler, who received his star in the Category of Motion Pictures yesterday, was accompanied by his wife Jackie Titone and two daughters, Sadie and Sunny. Actors Henry Winkler and Kevin James were also present at the ceremony. James was a co-star of Sandler's in the recent blockbuster comedy, Grown Ups, while Winkler was a co-star in Waterboy.

Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. His films have grossed more than $3 billion worldwide. His most recently film, Sony Pictures' Grown Ups is the highest-grossing of his career, taking in more than $271 million worldwide. Sandler's next film, Just Go with It, which co-stars Jennifer Aniston, will be released by Sony Pictures on February 11 (view the official movie trailer below).

Sandler's generosity is legendary. He has given both time and money to many non-profit agencies including the Boys and Girls Club in Manchester, N.H., Autism Speaks and the Chris Farley Foundation.

His genorosity doesn't stop there, either. Sandler is also well-known for showing his appreciation to his co-stars. For example, the comedian reportedly bought a $200,000 Maserati for each of member of his supporting cast of Grown Ups: Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Kevin James. There's no official word on exactly which model Sandler ordered, but considering that both the Quattroporte and GranTurismo models start around $120,000 each, he must have gone for all the options and then some. That's quite a way of saying "thank you".

Sandler's star is located at 6262 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the W Hollywood Hotel.
