He was recently spotted checking out a $37,000-per-month townhouse rental at 9 E. 62nd St. The three-bedroom, 3,846-square-foot limestone mansion has 18-foot ceilings, an elevator, a solarium and a cedar-lined cigar room. --Belgian entrepreneur Rob Heyvaert is the buyer of the 54 Bond St., penthouse that was last listed for $14.45 million, down from its $16.5 million price in 2009. --Designer Steven Stolman is back in New York as design director of Jack Rogers, the iconic shoe company that was a favorite of Jackie Kennedy. He is renting a 800-square-foot studio at 215 E. 68th St.
--Author/journalist Carl Bernstein was spotted checking out two penthouse rentals at 55 Thompson in SoHo. --Courtney Love is back on the prowl for a townhouse rental and was seen at 24 Thompson St., the apartment owned by Miami Heat center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and his wife, Jennifer. The $37,050-per-month townhouse is listed by Spire Group.
--Mystery writer Harlan Coben is in contract to buy a 1,600-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom co-op, listed for $2.69 million, at the Dakota building.

--The price on writer Truman Capote's Brooklyn Heights has been dropped from $18 million to $15.9 million.
--A man once nicknamed the "Psychic Hotline King" has put his Time Warner penthouse back on the market. The 25 Columbus Circle penthouse belonging to Steven Feder, onetime head of the now-defunct pay-per-call service Psychic Readers Network (made famous by Jamaican-accented fortune teller "Miss Cleo"), hit the market for $38.5 million. --New York Yankee Mark Teixeira has taken his Westlake, Texas, home off the market in a one-year lease-to-purchase agreement. The tenant will pay $13,000 a month and has exclusive rights to buy the property during the year of the lease. The home originally came on the market in 2007 for $5.75 million. It was most recently listed for $4 million.
--Film director Rob Cohen, whose titles include "The Fast and the Furious" and "xXx," has listed his six-bedroom home in Malibu for $5.95 million. Cohen and his wife Barbara bought the home in 2008 for $5.3 million. The listing is with Lily Harfouche of Coldwell Banker- Malibu West.

--Will Cotton (known as much for Katy Perry's "California Gurls" video as his art) and Rose Dergan of the Gagosian Gallery have bought a full-floor loft at 14 Harrison Street for $2.14 million.
--Hockey player and former Vogue intern, Sean Avery has sold his two-bedroom condo at The Chelsea Club. He bought the 1,112-square-foot condo not far from his other home at Madison Square Garden for $1.46 million in 2007, and has just sold it for $1.4 million, according to city records.
--Roberto Moses Thompson Motta, a Brazilian-born investor and director at Anheuser-Busch InBev, just purchased a two-bedroom apartment at the Sherry-Netherland for $4.495 million.
--Painter Patricia Spitaleri and Saks Fifth Avenue marketing director Aleta Spitaleri bought a one-bedroom co-op at 39 Fifth Avenue for $1.3 million.
--Literary agent Julie Barer purchased a duplex at 359 West 11th Street for $1.98 million from former CAA agent and current night-life impressario Seth Rodsky and his wife Eve Rodsky, a fundraiser.
Bacchus House, a 24-foot-wide converted carriage house at 40 West 10th Street has finally sold after nearly five years on the market for $20 million. The buyer is Rivendell House LLC, a subsidiary of Founders Fund, the venture capital firm headed bySean Parker, the Napster co-founder and former president of Facebook who was portrayed by Justin Timberlake in The Social Network.
