Coachella Festival Inspires Armani Exchange Ads
Every spring, young music lovers trek out to the Southern California desert town of Indio to frolic amid the heat and dust and listen to some really great music at the Coachella festival. That annual event was the inspiration for the A|X Armani Exchange Spring 2011 advertising campaign, "Style Festival." Created by stylist Kate Lanphear (Elle Magazine, Style Director) the A|X "Style Festival" campaign shows casually-clad models who were photographed at the same location as the Coachella Music Festival, Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California.
The print campaign, which is appearing in the February 2011 issues of GQ, ELLE, Glamour, Allure, OUT, Nylon, V Magazine and V-Men, among others, is meant to showcase season-less, "festival-chic" style. "With the Armani Exchange campaign, we wanted to stay true to the soul of the brand and the advertising concept," says A|X campaign stylist Kate Lanphear. "Music is such a big part of the brand's DNA and so it seemed natural to bring the A|X style to life at music's most celebrated festival - Coachella."

denim jeans, with a leather jacket over a denim jacket? i'm pretty sure these people would die of heatstroke if they actually wore this to coachella.
This is the type of crowd Kings of Leon are going to draw to the festival this year: douchebags.

These are the people that are in the medical tent complaining about poor service because they weren't drinking. They are also the ones that come on the board before and after :(

The are the people that hang out in the "VIP" beer garden all 3 days then claim they "went to Coachella." No you didn't. You went to the beer garden in heals and only kind-of saw what happened on the Main Stage
