The flowered wallpaper in the foyer-the peach walls in the kitchen next to the teal and peach chairs drove me nuts. Worst of all are the odd pillars just standing out in the middle of the room. If they are actual support pillars they certainly are placed in a weird way.<br><br>Major updating needed inside. The outside is wonderful.]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[JLS]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jan 17th 2011 1:09AM</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on Old Westbury, Estate of the Day]]></title><link>http://www.luxist.com/2011/01/16/old-westbury-estate-of-the-day/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.luxist.com/2011/01/16/old-westbury-estate-of-the-day/</guid><description><![CDATA[Just my opinion but it tries too hard to be regal on the outside and yet fumbles with the rear 2nd story balcony which architecturally mars the lines and isn't purposeful anyhow. <br><br>The inside is vastly too pedestrian for a multi-million dollar house on the grounds of a once grand estate. For $5M in Old Westbury one expects - and can find - interiors which put this one to shame. Many lovely caretaker cottages in that area alone are more rich in their trappings and visual details. ]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Spectacular Bid]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jan 17th 2011 11:32AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
