HGTV's 2011 Dream Home Is A Vermont Ski Hideaway

HGTV has announced its 2011 HGTV Dream Home, a modern rustic mountain retreat in Stowe, Vermont. The home is part of a $2 million grand-prize package that includes a 2011 GMC Acadia Denali and $500,000 cash. The prize will be awarded in March, 2011 and you can enter once per day on HGTV.com as well as once per day on HGTV's Frontdoor.com or as often you want through regular mail from now through February 18.

The nearly 3,400-square-foot HGTV Dream Home, located in Spruce Peak at Stowe Mountain Resort, was inspired by late-19th-century Adirondack mountain homes. It has three bedrooms including a dorm-style room that sleeps eight, three and a half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen and two family gathering with plenty of windows. It is the first time that the annual HGTV dream home, which is celebrating its 15th year, has been located in Vermont. The HGTV Dream Home website has the floor plan and details about the area and the materials used in the home.

Wish thats what i do! My husband and i just bought a smal home in texas we can bearly pay our monthly pmts. Imagine winning a dream home that would be wonderful,and best of all we will finally see snow here in tx in winter thers no snow only hot suny days, We really wish and wish we can get the dream home 2011.

Unbelievable! My Sister and family live in Hyde Park, Vt for over 20 years (25 mins. from Stowe)! I visit her as often as I can. I live in Fredericksburg, VA. a 12 hour drive in good weather! We go right by Shaw's General Store and my sister manages the Yellow Turtle Children's Store on the Mountain Road on the way up to Mt. Mansfield. My brother in law teaches snowboarding on the Mt. Can't say what it would mean to live 25 minutes away from her!!!! I could see my sister everyday!!!!

I just love this house! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the secret room! The dorm style room! Done just beautifully. Every detail done so well. The whole team that was responsible for this creation should be applauded.

My name is Michelle and my fiances name is Aaron we watch HGTV on a regular basis and absolutely love everything that you all do , to help others and make there lives better and the amazing dreams that you have made for others. I have entered in for this dream home and can't wait to hear the news for another amazing dream you guys will have made for yet another family. We have already imagined having our dream wedding in this amazing home and the small beautiful town to raise our children, my hopes are high and my thoughts will be positive that it really could happen to us. We live in phoenix in a small condo with our two dogs and can only imagine this really happening to us and can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks again for giving us the oppurtunity to have a chance to not only make our dreams come true but to create the life we've always wanted !!! Thanks HGTV!!

What an amazing home! My family and I would love to win this gorgeous home to help rehabilitate kids who are or have been battling cancer. In fall 2007, a little girl from a neighboring town named Ally had changed our lives. She was diagnosed with (AML) Leukemia. She went through many chemotherapy treatments and battled cancer. Unfortunately, several years later, Ally was re-diagnosed with AML Leukemia and undergone a bone marrow transplant. Luckily, Ally is healthy and a cancer surviver today. She has changed many of our lives especially mine for the better. I've held several fundraisers for Ally in trying to make her more comfortable during her treatments. A girl 1 year older, Brie, who was in the same school district as Ally was a cancer survivor and helped Ally through her battle as well. Today, both Ally and Brie help other kids who are battling cancer and are by their side in their fight.

This summer, I learned that a daughter of a childhood friend of mine is also battling cancer. She turned 2 this year. Whether it's a close friend, family, or stranger, my family and I are by these family sides in helping them emotionally and financially through fundraisers in paying for hospital and treatment bills. Since Ally was diagnosed back in 2007, my family and I walk in the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, each year in honor of Ally, Brie, and many others.

What my family and I would like to do with this amazing Vermont home is to bring the kids who are battling cancer and their families for a wonderful vacation to relax and spend some quality time with one another when they are not receiving treatments in the hospitals. It would be a great support system for all the kids to get together and share their experiences, hopes, and dreams, while I can take the parents to a nice spa treatment for some amazing "me" time, which they are not able to take during their difficult journey.

I would like to also have Ally and Brie join us in working with the kids for a mentoring session and help re-build their self-confidence. It's amazing how kids relate to other kids especially in a time of need. My family and I get such joy out of helping these kids and their families and will continue to do so for the rest of our lives because of how Ally and Brie touched ours. What a better place to make kids feel better than in Stowe, Vermont and be able to do things all year long! We hope to win this home to make it a true kid's rehabilitation retreat!

This house is amazing... We live in Michigan and love to ski. I can only image how awesome it would for our family of 4 to live in a dream house like this. This truly would be a dream come true! All the sponsors of this home are amazing... We live in Walker, Michigan near Bissell and are proud that they are part of this wonderful home. As our 8 year old would say, YOU ROCK!...

me and my family would love to have this house my dad is recintly getting surgery and will be out of work for 3 months when my step mom is trying to find another job wich will be a very tight budget we would like to have this house because we grew up and in stowe and always skiing in stowe and spending great vacations there and would be a awsome oppourtunity to live here we also have family partys that we like to have but dont have alot cuz we have a small house but with this wonderful house we can have all of my grandparents and cousins up! thanks for spending ur time reading this we hope to live here some day and hope that there is a 2011 dream in our family!
