Disgusting. Talk about showing poorly. Take all the dead animals out of this penthouse and you might be okay. Who wants to live in a place that wreaks of killing and death?
As a footnote, I live in three homes that have animal print decor in rugs and other ways. It's all fake, modern and fun. I just strongly believe that having a lioness killed and stuffed is very sick indeed.

My word, the place is horrid.
The decorator who ruined this beautiful penthouse should be tarred and feathered.
Mark Ellis Dec 30th 2010 10:05AM
Laviously over the top and well done with the Sad exception of the cruel ans senseless use of the needlessly killed to display animals. What joy or beautycan be found in this. Trajic!

Jealousy is so unbecoming on you, post the pics of "your penthouse" and let us judge them.

Very nice interior, but problem with a penthouse is, the back yard is two square feet. Plus, being in a big noisey, dirty city, not a win-win. My estate is a fraction of this, but it's in the most perfect place on earth east of Walt Disney World with giant oak trees, a citrus garden, exotic wildlife, 10 minutes from Playa Linda Beach. ...Al-

Could not agree more JLS. I always cringe when I see stuffed/taxidermy animals used as decoration.

Creepy and depraved! Seriously, how can someone take pleasure in displaying slaughtered animals? This owner must be extremely cold, cruel and obviously has no conscience. How can anyone think that this morbid display is ok?

You bleeding hearts need to remember that at one time in the late 1800's and
early1900's there were plenty of game animals all over the world and that was
the sport of kings and rich people. I will be the first to say it is horrible that these
great animals were killed and that is why so many are endangered now but ----
happens. This homeowner could have bought most of his mounts on E-bay.YEA
RIGHT You have to remember this is still a free country to do as you want even
if we don't agree. Just remember a lot of these animals were taken in the wild,
not like the sissy hunters do it now enclosed game ranches where the animals are fed in the same areas so the ranchers can make sure the fat cats can kill
and feel noble.

they left out the "6 diving boards for your convenience".....

What is with all the setting rooms. Do super rich people have others for company and just sit and talk. Do they move from sitting room to sitting room every 15 minutes so the hosts can show off all their "rooms".What a terrible waste of money. Hey, maybe a superior being from outer space will come down and grab a few of these people, stuff them and put them on display.
Doug Dec 30th 2010 2:06PM
Maybe they have large parties and need the other seats. Of course, that would mean they have a lot of friends. Maybe all of your friends can sit around the kitchen table and that's why you can't figure out how a person might need more than 600 sq ft?
James Dec 30th 2010 3:20PM
Speaking of sitting rooms ... here's another mixed message: A very long bathroom lined in marble and the focal point.....? The toilet - no door. Sooner or later, with or without marble the emperor has no clothes.
Mark Cowley Dec 30th 2010 3:50PM
The very rich enjoy having numerous living areas....if you can afford it, why not. The same goes for all you people that have 3 bedroom homes, you could all sleep in one room but everyone likes to have their own space. You must remember in Japan the average home is 900 sq. ft. and that is considered large. How many of you people would like to live in a 900 sq. ft. home??? Everything in life is relevant....some people are broke when they have $1,000 dollars and some are broke when they only have $10 M. You can't take it with you, so spend it!

But the kitchen is fabulous, and is that a Yamaha piano??
Joanne Dec 30th 2010 12:50PM
I'm not crazy about blacks and greys...but I think the decorator in this case did
a great job. The only thing is that I am also a lover of animals and displaying them
in this manner is sad. I do like the family room and the baby grand piano. The view is fantastic.
yvette Dec 30th 2010 1:28PM
5 million...if I was gonna pay that it better have a beach view !!!!!
David S. Dec 30th 2010 1:33PM
Beautiful place. Sure the decor is stuffy and not suited to everyone's taste......but I am guessing if you can pay $5 million, you can bring your own furniture and decorate how you wish. Over 7,000 square feet?! You wouldn't get a fraction of that in Manhattan for that much money!
