Luxury Condos Go Up For Auction In Sun Valley

Idaho's Sun Valley is a popular second home location. You can pick up yours at a grand reopening auction for 11 condominium residences at Chilali, a luxury development comprised of one- and two-story homes in Ketchum, Idaho.
Accelerated Marketing Partners (AMP), is expecting bidders to come from areas across the country. The auction will be held on February 19 at Sun Valley Resort, with minimum bids ranging from $295,000 to $825,000, up to 66 percent below previous asking prices of nearly $2.2 million.

The homes have custom hardware, natural wood-wrapped windows and doors and contemporary lighting. There are 25 spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes in total at Chilali, ranging from 1,612 square feet to 3,200 square feet. Homes have large windows with unobstructed views of the Bald and Dollar mountain ranges. Open floor plans allow for top-floor vaulted ceilings and central great rooms.

Homes up for auction start with a one-bedroom unit that has a minimum bid of $295,000, which is 58 percent below its previous asking price of $695,000 and go up a three-bedroom-plus-den home that is approximately 2,793 square feet and has a minimum bid of $695,00

Residences have gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances and full-slab granite countertops. Master baths have separate showers and jetted marble tubs.
On-site amenities include a rooftop, open-air entertainment area, complete with an outdoor barbeque, fireplace and oversized hot tubs; a spacious, state-of-the-art fitness center with top-of-the-line equipment, sauna, and flat-screen TV and games; ample resident storage with private ski-lockers; and a full-level of underground parking.

Another thing you cannot tell from photos is how BIG those rooms are. And the hardwood floor, if it is a quality job, is worth a lot. Yes, the location in Sun Valley must make it worth a lot. In Aspen in the 1980s, tiny Victorian homes built a hundred years ago went for $500,000. TINY.
