Simple elegance never goes out of style yet it can be difficult to find. It's easy to get caught up in trends and the latest it-'fill in the blank' without taking into consideration what you really want. And I can safely say we all want an item that will stand the test of time; one that we will use and wear for years on end.
And that is the philosophy of Jilly New York. Their motto: Quiet Luxury. Classic Elegance. Exotic Beauty. You can't go wrong with designing from such a sound foundation. Creative Designer Jill Haber says she was inspired by the "desire to find gorgeous handbags that are not embellished with overbearing, heavy hardware or logos. I thought that gorgeous, exotic skin
was the perfect canvas to create easy, chic pieces that complement a woman's style, rather than dictate it."
Looking through Haber's exquisite line of handbags, I could see her inspiration and vision through each bag. I really liked everything I came across. Simple silhouettes paired with eye popping color and exotic leathers like ostrich, python and crocodile equals classic statement bags. My personal favorite is the Lenox Hobo ($1170) featured above. Made with hues of autumn and touches of metallic silver python, there's a roomy interior for the essentials and the 'just in case' items. Given its voluminous shape, you never have to worry about bulkiness. The interior is lined with an unexpected aubergine suede and features an interior zip and cell phone pocket. Measurement: 20"W x 15"H.
