Deidre: The link for the listing doesn't work.
Also, it's a shame that either the realtors (or luxist) often doesn't provide pictures of the home theaters (I am a huge home theater buff, lol). This one says it has the best one in Witchita (and then no picture of it).

I fixed the link. Thanks, Eric, for bringing it to my attention, and your always insightful comments.

Interesting place to renovate for sure. I think what they've already done is grand and beautiful and I think this church has perfect bones to become a GRAND mansion. The inside is gorgeous but I am unsure I could get past the outside looking so much like a church. One would constantly be reminded they were coming home to, living in and sleeping in a church. A mixed message in my mind's eye.

Wow, JLS has an opinion on an estate of the day....And the sun rises in the east, too.
What a sad life, constantly penning your unsolicited & pedestrian thoughts on an online forum every damn time Luxist profiles an EOTD. You must be the 21st century version of Eleanor Rigby.
Give it rest already; no one here cares about your thoughts anymore than they do in the real world.

Eric, there is a photo of the "home theater". It's the one of the pews, it looks like the screen has not been deployed in the photo. But to claim that this "home theater" is better than any commercial theater in Wichita is ludicrous at best. Apparently, the seller hasn't been to one of the Warren theaters in town. One of them has a balcony where patrons must be 21 years old to enjoy. Heated seats along with the absence of children make movie going great. Being served food and libations doesn't hurt either! One last thing - one of the biggest IMAX screens in the country is now right here in Wichita! http://www.warrenimax.com/
