Lampe Berger Opens Pop Up Boutique in New York

Lampe Berger, the 110-year old French luxury home fragrance company has opened a pop up store in New York. The boutique features the complete range of Lampe Berger's latest cutting edge technology with products that deodorize, create beautiful scents and decorate the home with exquisite designs.
"This Pop Up Store gives us the perfect opportunity to create an enticing, luxurious environment in which to share the Lampe Berger experience with the people of Manhattan," says Cherry Robinson, Lampe Berger Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
Lampe Berger's beautiful signature lamps, each a work of art in itself, are available for purchase as well as its exquisite home fragrance collection---just in time for anyone searching for a truly unique gift to give a friend of loved one for the holidays. Lampe Berger products create an atmosphere where undesirable odors are banished, leaving an environment that is delicately scented. Its new scent-release system known as "catalysis" provides clean and beautifully scented air at home.
The first Lampe Berger lamp was created in 1898 by Maurice Berger, a pharmacy dispenser, to purify the air in hospital wards. By 1930, as fragrances were skyrocketing in popularity around the world, the company's dispensers, known as "lampes" had become a collector's item. Early collectors included artists Jean Cocteau and Pablo Picasso. Lampe Berger is known for its many innovations, many of which are patented around the world.
The Lampe Berger store will feature the products created by top contemporary artists and designers around the world who created interesting and unique dispensers---and each is a true conversation piece. For example, Lampe Berger's "Vibration" collection, which was designed by Lalique (a Luxist Awards' nominee), is reminiscent of ice or rock crystal. It retails for $3,000 and is available for purchase at the Manhattan boutique. Alexis Moreno created a mythical contemporaneous "rocking chair" concept for Lampe Berger. Called "Olympia", the dispenser has a silver horn that forms a coil to hide the essentials and create an air of mystery. It retails for $1,250. A third line, known as "Coeur Noir" was designed by David Boulange. Retailing for $1,000, it resembles a black heart that sits on a tripod pedestal, with raised steel arms.
Additionally, the store will carry the brand new revolutionary Lampe Berger EasyScent home fragrance system. This new launch comprises three diffusers designed by renowned French designer Alnoor, which includes "The Cube" ($79), "The Sphere" ($75) and "The Pebble" ($79). The collection also features seven enticing scents ranging from those that stimulate to others that relax, which are released by an innovative Cold Release system that enhances the full therapeutic powers of essential oils. The EasyScent home fragrance diffusers retail for $75. Other lampes are also available with prices that range from $44 to $3,000. Parfums de Maison are priced at $20 for the 500ml size and $35 for one litre sizes.
The pop-up store is located at 941 Madison Avenue at East 74th Street in Manhattan. Its hours of operation will be from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday; on Saturday and Sunday, the store will be open from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm. The store, which opened on December 10, will remain in open until January 16, 2011.
All of Lampe Berger's products are also available for purchase on its website or at one of its many boutiques across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain and France. Click here for the store locator.
