ALL NIGHT LONG! New Year's Eve At CityCenter Las Vegas

Oh, New Year's Eve In Las Vegas! With over 315,000 partiers (the approximate number last year, according to the Las Vegas CVB) with money to spend and champagne to guzzle, fireworks on the roof at ARIA Resort and Casino at midnight... sounds pretty good! No wonder Las Vegas on New Year's Eve has often been called America's Party.

I have written about the evolving identity of Las Vegas on Luxist, highlighting CityCenter, the controversial, glamorous, $9 billion dollar project, that even for Las Vegas, is continuing source of inspiration, speculation and high drama. But for those who love crowds, fun, champagne, shows, more champagne, shopping and dropping, New Year's Eve at CityCenter sounds like a needful, glittering palliative for the Christmas blues. After all, it is a new beginning, a New Year, so why not?

Much is happening at CityCenter this New Year's Eve: here we go!

The image above is an ELVIS hologram, part of the ARIA Resort and Casino's Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil® show. New Year's Eve performances are scheduled at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $203.50, $176, $148.50 and $119.90 plus tax and handling fees. For reservations, call (702) 590-7760. After you watch this, and if you are not yet hazy, you can go to HAZE, still at ARIA.

At HAZE Nightclub on New Year's Eve, GRAMMY award-winning hip-hop artist Nelly will host a New Year's Eve party. HAZE is a space designed to challenge partygoers' sense of perception and reality, with its unusual light and sound technology. Individual tickets are $150 per person, permitting VIP access all night. Table reservation packages start at $3,000, for a minimum of six guests, and include one (1) bottle of Grey Goose, one (1) bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne, six (6) Red Bulls & mixers, six (6) Fiji waters and a personal service team. If those unparalleled sensory experiences become too much, you could slip out of HAZE, and attend the Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge at Aria. This time, you will be with the Cirque de Soleil crowd plus the spirit of Elvis, again. Gold is ARIA's boutique nightclub and lounge, inspired by Elvis' Graceland estate. Guests will also be treated to a champagne toast at Midnight. Individual tickets are $125 per person, permitting VIP access all night and a hosted bar from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Table reservation packages start at $1,200, for a minimum of four (4) guests, and include one (1) bottle of premium liquor, one (1) bottle of champagne, 4 Red Bulls & mixers, 4 Fiji waters. Doors open at 9 p.m.

If you want to come and go between HAZE and the Gold Boutique Nightclub, there is The Light Group's VIP All Access Package –The cost is $250 per person permitting VIP entrance into HAZE Nightclub and Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge throughout the entire evening. But wait! There's more!

CRYSTALS AT CITYCENTER is now a complete winter shopping experience with icicles, jewel-toned ribbons, a potpourri of spectacular flowers and custom-designed candy twists overhead. I wrote an article for Luxist about the Porsche Design Studio's 1M Advent Calendar -- and here it is at Crystals. This is a big deal, as there are only five in the world, limited to only one per continent! And CityCenter has the North American continent Porsche Design Studio's Advent Calendar. This might be good to see as you wend your way to Eve, a nightclub owned by Eva Longoria.
