Dunhill Launches Day 8 Platform With Chris Dent
Luxury brand Dunhill has created Day 8, a new online platform created and managed by Dunhill to showcase curated and created content including images, articles and films. Dunhill defines Day 8, which lives online and also as an iPad app as not a blog or e-zine but instead as a vision of the world viewed through the Dunhill eye.
To launch the Day 8 platform, Dunhill has created three short movies the first, "Homes," shown above, showcases the work of London-based illustrator Chris Dent as he works on a commission for Dunhill to capture the four homes of Alfred Dunhill, in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai & Tokyo. The result is one sprawling cityscape that depicts Bourdon House (London Home), Prince's Building (Hong Kong Home), the Twin Villas (Shanghai Home) & Ginza (Tokyo Home) neighboring each other while the iconic Oriental Pearl (Shanghai) brushes shoulders with the Millennium Dome (London) and the Bank of China (Hong Kong). Dunhill will be selling 20 limited edition signed prints of this piece of urban art exclusively on Dunhill.com.
