Holiday Shopping Guide: 10 Gifts for Mom

Moms are the glue that holds the world together. They work hard all year to keep us happy and healthy, sacrifice their own well-being for ours on a regular basis, and just generally smooth over the rough edges of life to make it all a little more bearable. Celebrate your mom this holiday season and show her how much you love and appreciate her with one of our luxe and pampered holiday gift ideas.
Spring Street Design Group 'Garden Critters' Handbag Hanger, $32
Handbag hangers are one of those little luxuries that women love to have but never think to buy themselves. This one, depicting a pretty bejeweled dragonfly, brings a cheerful dose of sparkle to any table along with a reminder of warmer spring days to come.

White & Warren Cashmere Slippers, $160
What's better than a new pair of cashmere slippers for Christmas? A pair of soft, sexy cashmere slippers that come with their own silk travel pouch. I like red for the holidays but take your choice of six colors to fit your mom's style and personality.

Pinhole Press 60-Photo Icon Series Photo Book $44.99
Pinhole Press makes creating a high-class personalized book of memories easy -- simply name your book and upload photos that share a current theme (perhaps a vacation, holiday, or birthday celebration, or a collage of the past year). The result is a thoughtful keepsake that any mom will cherish.

Coach Pleated Leather Gloves, $118
A good pair of leather gloves are always useful, will never go out of style, and in the case of these pleated ones from Coach are a great chance to add a pop of color to a drab winter wardrobe. Available in four colors you might have a hard time choosing just one pair.

Hammered Bronze & Gold Leaf Bowl, $150-$350
Bronze on the outside and glowing gold on the inside these hammered bowls from Thailand have both a sense of ancient tradition and contemporary appeal. They come in a variety of sizes and are at their best when filled with just enough water to float and reflect a small lighted candle inside.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Ikat Stole, $715
Can a woman have too many scarves? I think when it comes to silk and cashmere there's always room for one more. This monogram-patterned Louis Vuitton stole is a lightweight but warm blend of cashmere and silk that's versatile enough to carry her from winter through spring without missing a beat.

Arlotta Shawl-Collar Cashmere Robe, $398
Give the gift of warm and draping comfort this Christmas in the form of a luxe cashmere robe. There are lots of versions out there but I like this one best for its simple lines, full-length coverage, handy pockets, and traditional tie-waist.
18K Persia Pendant with Emerald and Diamond, $3,500
Jewelry is always a great gift option but for busy moms who rarely get to treat themselves a precious gem pendant is an especially rare treat as well as a thoughtful sign of your love and appreciation. This Persia pendant from Temple St Clair features 18kt gold, 2.8cts of cabochon emeralds, and 0.18cts of diamonds (there are other colors/gem combinations available).

Lights Out Eye Mask, $40
No one needs sleep more than your loving, hard working, 'doing-it-all' mom and although you can't buy her sweet dreams per say you can certainly get her a cute and comfy (it's 100% cashmere) eye mask to make finding that elusive shuteye just a little bit easier.

Large Platinum Elephant, £28,600
Safari is in and Swarovski is timeless so if you're looking for a gift with the ultimate wow factor this shimmering, shining platinum elephant sculpture by Villari will surely take mom's breath away. Created of the finest platinum porcelain and covered in Swarovski gems be prepared for the Christmas tree to look a bit drab in comparison.

I highly recommend the purse hanger as a gift for the lady in anyone's life. I know 2 ladies that each have one and they swear by them. Nice to not have to put your purse on the floor, or not hang it on the back of your chair where it can get stolen.
Very useful item for a tiny price.

as a mother, let me say...I wouldnt want any of this stuff, but if I had to have something, it would be the cashemere eye mask or the LV scarf (which I dont think is the most attractive option...but at least its Vuitton!
