Sorry Mr Loro Piana but the natural lotus flower fabric is produced in Cambodia since one year by Samatoa.
Samatoa propose in their shop in Siem Reap (Cambodia) ''tailor made lotus clothing'' for a price range between 500 and 1500 usd. The project has been held by an international textile expert group and Samatoa producer's. The final clothing respect high international quality standard and guarantee to be natural lotus fabric from the stems of the lotus flower. The manufacturing process is totally handmade and the producer's can be visited.
Samatoa works under fair trade commitments since 2003 respecting social and environmental values.
Samatoa has also developed a range of natural dyes which match with the luxurious lotus fabrics.
Does it needed to develop a project in Myanmar where most of the funds would go back to the totalitarian government ?
Lotus fabric is the fabric of the future and Cambodia provides thousands hectares of the best quality of lotus stems.
